Healthy glowing skin is the dream of every woman. How to achieve it? We need to take care of our skin. Clean it properly day by day and moisturize it.Certified Makeup Artist

Skin care steps:

  1. Cleaning (wet wipes, cleansing milk, gel, micellar water etc)
  2. Toning (the toner cleans up the skin perfectly, refreshes it and closes the pores)
  3. Moisturizing the skin (day cream with SPF, vitamins and anti-aging)

 

Make-up application steps:

  1. Primer (if needed depends of the type of foundation) (application with fingers or foundation brush)
  2. Foundation application (liquid, cream, stick depends of the skin type) (application with sponge, foundation brush, stippling brush)
    1. Corrector application (green, yellow, peach or orange depends of the skin colour. Applying under the eye, eyelids and anywhere on the face where we want to correct the

    discolorations. Green –red, yellow-violet, orange, peach – blue)(application with fingers or with concealer brush)

  4. Concealer – after the colour correction we need to cover up the corrected areas. The concealers are always in our skin tone. (ivory, beige, sand, etc)(application with fingers or concealer brush)
  5. Fixing powder – lose powder or translucent powder is for the fixing the foundation to get the matte and smooth finish. For the touch ups we are using the compact powder. (application with a powder brush or with powder puff)
  6. Filling up the eyebrows – we want to achieve the perfectly done and natural eyebrows. We are using eye shadows (matte) in lighter shade than the eyebrow colour, application with an angled brush.
  7. Application of the mascara ( 2 layers – it can be the same mascara or 2 different kinds of mascara, application from the roots to the top.)
  8. Blusher or bronzer application – on the cheek bone – blended, with a blusher brush.
  9. Lips – lip liner, lipstick and lip gloss application with a lip brush.

THEORY AND PICTURES

Prosthetic makeup (also called Special make-up effects and FX prosthesis) is the process of using prosthetic sculpting, moulding and casting techniques to create advanced cosmetic effects.

Prosthetic makeup revolutionise by John Chambers in such lms as Planet of the Apes and Dick Smith in Little Big Man.

TECHNIQUE

The process of creating a prosthetic appliance begins with life casting, the process of taking a mould of a body part (often the face) to use as a base for sculpting the prosthetic.

Life cast moulds made from prosthetic alginate or more recently, from skin-safe silicone rubber.

This initial mould is relatively weak and exible. A hard mother mould typically made by plaster or breglass bandages is creating overtop the initial mould to provide support.

Once a negative mould has been create, it is promptly led with gypsum cement, most commonly a brand called “Ultracal-30”, to make a “positive” mould. The form of prosthetic sculpted in clay on top of the positive.

The edges of the clay should made thin as possible, for the clay is stand-in for what will eventually prosthetic piece.

Along the edges of mould,

“keys” or mould points sculpted or carved into the life cast, make sure the two pieces of the mould will together correctly.

Once sculpting is complete, a second mould made

This gives two or more pieces of a mould a positive of the face,

and one or more negative mould pieces of the face with prosthetic sculpted in.

All clay carefully remove and prosthetic material cast into mould cavity.

The prosthetic material can be foam latex, gelatine, silicone or other similar materials. The prosthetic is cure within two part mould creating beginning of a makeup effect.

One of the hardest parts of prosthetic make-up is keeping the edges as thin as possible. They should be tissue thin so they are easy to blend and cover giving a flawless look.

The use of prosthetic makeup create wounds or trauma is called moulage.

its is used by the military and medical schools to educate and lessen psychological trauma when exposed to the real thing.

Being that, backstage Professional Beauty 2020Backstage – 18th of February 2020,.

In essence The Lipstick Makeup Institute team was in charge of makeup for Jamilla Paul’s session at Professional Beauty 2020.

However, , our team was in charge of the makeup of 2 beautiful models that embodied high fashion and glamour.  

 At any rate being that the talk was about our experiences as backstage stylists and makeup artists.  

In a word, making sure that all makeup and hair will be stage ready.

 By all means the transition of hair and makeup are very important. We only have a very limited amount of time to do the makeup and hair backstage in between shows.

Additionally, the models need to change clothes for the new designer, fix their makeup, and then go out in the runway. 

Our trainers

Firstly, On top of this, our head trainer and her students were working at the Provoc stand. demonstrating the products and makeup for the guests of Professional Beauty 2020.

Secondly, They were creating beauty looks on guests who were interested in the products for the two days of the event.

Thirdly, however, this is a huge exposure to our students who want to get into the field of makeup.

In general,  we are very fortunate to be a part of the Provoc team.

Lastly, Professional Beauty convention event happens once a year. Basically to showcase new innovations in the beauty industry.

The Lipstick Makeup Institute has been part of this event for a number of years already and it is really good exposure for our students to be a part of it. 

However, as a student and graduate of The Lipstick Makeup Institute, you’ll be having these experiences with different events.

In light of this is rarely done by other makeup schools in Dubai. On the other hand, we believe in our students capabilities, therefore we give them these chances.

As usual, our graduates take care of this event together with our amazing head makeup artist Kris. She is making sure all of the models are ready before the show.

Trunk Show at 1422 – A new season, a new collection. The Arab Fashion Council will be holding another trunk show together with The Lipstick Makeup Institute Team. It will be held in the Arab Fashion Council Head Quarters in City Walk.

Trunk Show at 1422 – Our team is doing makeup for the trunk show with the Arab Fashion Council. We are very excited about this. Our team will be backstage taking care of the models before the show. Making sure that they’re ready before they walk out clad in beautiful garments made by world class designers from the region. As the official backstage makeup team, we strive to showcase our talents and skills no matter how big or small the event is.  

We’ll be using the cosmetic products provided to us by Makeup Forever Middle East. They have been gracious enough to sponsor our Institute with their amazing products. 

Also, if you haven’t read our previous blog, we mentioned that we’re having a crash course on the Professional Platinum Media Makeup Diploma Course. We’re holding this course for three weeks intensively – like a boot camp. The students who will be joining this course will be receiving the benefits of the Platinum Media Makeup Diploma Course.
