Learning the European bridal makeup at The Lipstick Institute

Learning the European bridal makeup at The Lipstick Institute, At the lipstick institute we teach our students many different bridal looks, such as, European, Arabic, and Indian.
Wedding makeup is an essential part of every bride’s special day. It’s very important to understand the needs of the bride, her features, and her undertone. European brides vary in the amount and depth of makeup the bride requests. Some brides will request more makeup, and other brides will barely want any makeup showing. Here at the lipstick we will teach you all the techniques to make a bride happy on her special day.

Today I will brief you on the tips of creating a European bridal makeup.

Learning the European bridal makeup

Step one: Preparing the skin, as this is the most important step for the bride. Use a light .moisturizer depending on the skin type. The focus should be on giving your bride a clean and soft skin. Apply a toner and prime the skin, leave the skin to dry for a few minutes but don’t leave the skin longer than five minutes.

Step two: Let the skin tone and undertone guide your makeup color choices. Color correct the skin before applying the foundation. Foundation has a wide range to it, and it all depends on the bride’s choice level of coverage. When applying foundation, start on the inner part of the face near the nose in stabling motions working your way into the entire face.

Step three: Eyeshadow. I personally like to do the full-face complexion before starting on the eyes. This differs from one makeup artist to another. Prime the eyes and unite the eyelid color with a fair concealer shade. For European bridal, eyeshadow color ranges between nude, brown, and light pink shades. A bit of shimmer is a compliment on the inner corner of the lid.

Step four: Contour. Some European brides prefer powder contour, while others prefer creamy contour. I personally prefer creamy contour, setting it with powder contour. This step will apply to blush, either creamy blush or powder blush will work.

Step five: Setting the face. Set the whole face with setting powder to keep the makeup in place, and to prevent the face from shining for longer hours.

Step six: Eyelashes. European brides ought to have a natural look most of the time. Unlike, Arabic and Indian brides always seek a very strong look and shades. Most European brides prefer to keep their natural lashes, and a lot of them might have lash extensions too.

Step seven: final and last step. Highlight the face and spray it with setting spray, so that the makeup lasts the bride the entire night.

Guide to Applying Eye Makeup

Guide to Applying Eye Makeup

Applying eyeshadow is relatively easy. However, learning to apply eye makeup the right way is no simple task. How do you choose the right shade for your eye color and skin tone? Do you really need 10 makeup brushes? Will you ever use every color in that eyeshadow palette?

We know that it’s easy to get confused about the best ways to make your eyes pop, so we’ve crafted a five-step guide to show you exactly how to handle all those eyeliners, mascaras and shadows. Let’s get started:

Guide to Applying Eye Makeup
Guide to Applying Eye Makeup
Start with great makeup brushes.

There’s a reason famous artists don’t finger paint: it’s much harder to create a masterpiece without the proper tools. The same holds true for makeup application. Invest in a few good cosmetic brushes for even, precise, and hygienic makeup application. Luckily, you can get great ones without dropping an entire paycheck.

Apply a base eyeshadow to the lid.

Using your eyeshadow brush, grab your favorite eyeshadow palette and sweep your favorite base shade on your eyelid. Depending on the look you’re going for, you can bring this base color all the way up to your brow bone in preparation for a more dramatic smoky eye, or you can stop at the crease of your eye for a basic, everyday look.

In the latter case, here’s a foolproof trick: place the color into the crease of your eye when your eyes are open, and work down toward the lash line. That way, you’ll never overshoot your crease or end up with messy lines.

Concentrate darker shadow in the eye crease.

Dark colors attract light, so placing a darker tone of shadow in the crease of the eye makes your eyes pop by adding depth and dimension in the exact right spot.

Blending Brush into a dark shadow and sweep it right along the eye socket, following the shape of your eye between your brow bone and eyelid.

If you have hooded eyes, your upper lid covers most of your mobile lid when your eyes are open. That means you will have to play with different, higher placements for crease shadow, because if you simply apply along the eye socket, the color will disappear when you open your eyes. Instead, start with your eyes open and use your brush to mark where you want that dark color to start in order to be visible. Then, close your eyes and blend across, smoothing out any hard lines and focusing pigment on the outermost corner of the eye in a “V” shape.

Rim your lash lines in a super-dark color.

Eyeliner that’s applied correctly can make your lashes look thicker. If you’re not a huge fan of eyeliner, you can get a similarly impactful look (that’s easier to wash off!) with a super-dark eyeshadow. Use a flat, short-bristled brush to press the dark color along the edges of your upper eyelid where your eyelashes begin, and along the lower lash line. If you like to wear liner on your waterline (the inner-most rim of the eye), the bristles might irritate your eye so you can trace this line with one of our favorite waterproof eyeliners.

Highlight with a pretty shimmery shadow.

Make your brows pop and add lift by adding a shimmery pale eyeshadow or pencil directly under the brow. Add the same pearly light color to the inner corner of the eye to brighten things up, too. Finish with a few coats of our favorite mascara, and you’re good to go.

Asian Bridal Makeup Look at The Lipstick Makeup Institute

Asian Bridal Makeup Look at The Lipstick Makeup Institute

Asian bridal makeup is typical of most brides, they want to look young, youthful, and timeless. So maybe stick to those nice pinks for the cheeks and lips and keep the eyes really neutral, soft, and sandy.

Asian Bridal Look

Look at champagne colours, petal pinks, or seashell pinks even. You can contrast with a matte bronzer to define your cheekbones and highlight with a nice shimmery champagne colour or a gold colour on the apples of your cheeks or your brow bones or even along the cheekbone.

If you stick to neutral, warm colours with maybe pops of pink in there you are going to look like a timeless, beautiful bride.

Brides should understand the difference

between everyday makeup and the type of application that will enhance their beauty in wedding photos.

For perfect photos

, apply foundation evenly. Use a long lasting matte finish and end with a dusting of pressed powder

The Glamour Look at Lipstick

The Glamour Look

The Glamorous Look

Foundation is a must have for the glamour look it can diminish the look of imperfections, even out skin tone and creates a smooth base for makeup application.

First examine your client’s face and determine their skin type and face shape. Decide which features you would like to highlight and which would you like to tone down.

Before applying any makeup on client’s face make sure the skin is clean and dry. Also, always ensure that your client’s eyebrows are perfectly defined. Tweeze or pluck any stray or unsightly hairs.

Apply moisturiser and primer to the face and neck.

Choose the right shade shade of concealer and apply it under the eyes to hide dark circles and camouflage any bags.

Above all, Concealers can also be used to minimise the look of shadows, laugh lines and imperfections.

Now it is time to work with contour.

After that, define your client’s jaw line and cheekbones and when necessary you can narrow or straighten the look of the nose.

Highlight your client’s best features. Use a pale concealer to emphasise cheek and brow bones, and to shape the face.

Using a foundation brush or sponge apply foundation to your client’s entire face and neck.

Be careful not to rub out any of the concealer. This step can be the first step also, that means that you will apply the foundation first and then correct and conceal.

To fix the foundation and concealer use a translucent powder (finishing or fixing powder) with a high quality brush to dust the face and set the makeup.

This will prime your client’s face for colour application. Now that your base is perfect apply colour and highlight to your client’s best facial features to complete the look.

Glamour makeup is all about creative accessories so don’t hesitate to experiment. Find ways to incorporate coloured metallic finishes, sprays and gels into your client’s look.

All too often makeup artists neglect hands even when they will be part of a shot. Men frequently have red knuckles. Older people have age spots. Cuts and scars are common.

Apply makeup to the hands in exactly the same basic way you apply it to the face. Use concealer to hide blemishes and a light touch of foundation what perfectly matches the skin colour.

Blend very well. If your subject is a man wearing a suit and shirt, apply makeup around the cuff. Of course, don’t get yellow makeup on a white shirt! Place tissues in the cuffs to avoid the risk.Body Makeup Lipstick Makeup Institute

If your subject is a woman, check the nail polish.Ensure that is properly applied.

In some photo shoots, your subject will be revealing more than face and hands. Legs, knees, arms and who knows what else may be photographed. You will encounter challenges.

For example, knees may be darker than the surrounding skin. Shaved areas such as those under the arms may be lighter. “Bikini lines” may show up where areas of skin that have been exposed to the sun meet those that have been covered by clothing.

Body makeup which is more heavily pigmented than face makeup

its typically water and sweat resistant, can work well in these circumstances.

Generally you will want to match the natural skin tone
