Bridal Makeup Course

The application:

  1. Clean the skin
  2. Use skin primer in the T-zone. This will reduce shine and increase the durability of the makeup. Use good products with higher density of pigmentation as these will last longer.
  3. Be sure to allow moisturizer a few minutes to be absorbed properly before continuing with the foundation.
  4. Use a waterproof matte type foundation for a soft finish, and waterproof mascara
  5. Remember that the whiteness of a wedding dress can wash out the true colour of the makeup. Neutrals are always good choices for the blushing bride, but make sure you can still see the blush so apply a little extra!
  6. Bronzer can look brown in photographs, so stay away from it unless your bride has darker skin tones. A soft peachy look is preferable. Yellow – based or translucent powder will keep shine down.
  7. Concealer is important: many brides may have dark circles from sleepless nights. Use a high density concealer cream, not liquid which can “travel” and use where necessary.
  8. Choose a timeless look.

Remember that the photos will reveal their true value many years later.
The latest dramatic trends may look ridiculous and dated decades from now. Keep the eye makeup looking natural and light. Dont create heavily ringed racoon eyes.

Generally, eyeliner and mascara go on top lashes only so that the possibility of smearing is reduced, and keep the look fresh and natural.

  1. Shimmery products can look washed out in photos, especially in daylight, so do not over use shimmer or glitter. Also, too much glitter can read as false, keep the look as natural as possible.
  2. A dab of Vaseline/petroleum jelly on the front teeth will keep smiling lips from sticking to them and keep lipstick from getting on the teeth, which can ruin photographs.Arabic Makeup Course

  5. Contouring and highlighting (using cream products)
  6. Powder application to set the base
  7. Define the eyebrows
  8. Apply a white base colour over your eye lid and highlight just below the curve of your eye brow.
  9. Apply a base colour to the whole eye lid.
  10. Apply the next colour to the middle of your eye lid and blend it with the base colour.
  11. Apply black eye shadow in the outer corner of the eye to create a smokey look.
  12. Apply the fake lashes
  13. With liquid eye (gel) liner line your upper lash line with a thick line and flick up at the corner of the eye on the edge
  14. Apply the bush on the cheekbones
  15. Lip liner, lipstick and lip gloss for a glossy finish
  16. A dab of Vaseline/petroleum jelly on the front teeth will keep smiling lips from sticking to them and keep lipstick from getting on the teeth, which can ruin photographs.

Bridal Makeup Course

Asian bridal makeup look:

Asian bridal makeup is typical of most brides I know, which is that they want to look young, youthful, and timeless. So maybe stick to those nice pinks for your cheeks and your lips and keep the eyes really neutral, soft, and sandy.

Look at champagne colours,

petal pinks, or seashell pinks even.

You can contrast with a matte bronzer to define your cheekbones and highlight with a nice shimmery champagne colour or a gold colour on the apples of your cheeks or your brow bones or even accordingly the cheekbone.

If you stick to neutral, warm colours with maybe pops of pink in there you are going to look like a timeless, beautiful bride.

More tips:

Brides should understand the difference between everyday makeup and the type of application that will enhance their beauty specially in wedding photos. For brides, the choice is simple —

learn the proper techniques from a makeup artist months before the wedding, or simply invest in a professional application on the day of the event.

For perfect photos,

firstly apply foundation evenly. Use a long lasting matte finish and end with a dusting of pressed powder. Be sure to keep pressed powder handy for touch up;

Generally you don’t want a shiny nose or forehead in your pictures! Remember to match powder to your foundation colour. Be sure to blend it well along the jaw line.

Avoid heavy eyeliner – However it’ll only make your eyes look smaller. Pass on false eyelashes, too. They can cast a shadow beneath the eyes. Instead, accent the outer corner of eyes with black or gray eyeliner.

Choose bridal makeup

but that’s on the understated side. Our best suggestion, select a professional makeup artist with experience in bridal photography otherwise you will not get the results.

Because skin tends to break out or look flushed after a facial, be sure to schedule your facial at least one week before your wedding.

To keep your hands soft, firstly apply our rich non greasy Hand Crème before going to bed, then put on a pair of white cotton gloves. While you sleep, the gloves will hold in body heat and help the hand crème penetrate. In the morning, you hands will feel softer and smoother.

Colors:

  • Light colours such as pastels reflect more light and hence enhance the volume of a person. Advisable for persons on the slimmer side.
  • Dark colours such as blacks and burgundy, by virtue of reflecting lesser light diminish the volume of the wearer and are advisable for persons on the stouter side.
  • Short persons should avoid wearing clothes with contrasting colours.Soon we start online classes as well stay tuned with us for online courses

Contract for NY Eve

Firstly I was so happy and furthermore I knew that  I could do it. evidently, even more so I knew I could do it with style.

Graduates

We had won the contract for the New Years Eve Event at The Atlantis. The residents who come from all over the world will need hair and makeup.  This was great opportunity for me to employ our graduates and students to help.

We had around 45 staff to prepare the residents for the gala dinner with Kylie Minogue. It was a a formal dress evening and very glamorous.

Everyone who came and sat in the seats were extremely happy. We had no complaints.

Anyway, furthermore  it was a complete success for the team at www.thelipstickmakeup.institute

This was the case  as we got booked for The Atlantis Royal 3 day event which was HUGE.

It was the biggest job off my career so far. I am now 51 years old and don’t think I can top this one.

I employed maybe around 120 staff for hair and makeup.  By and large it was such a success for us. The team serviced only the VIP’s an VVIP”s. The royal Atlantis is such an incredible stage and hotel.

They are such a professional company it brings tears to my eyes that were were chosen. Above all the other makeup schools in Dubai, it was us.

The Importance of Blusher

The Importance of  blusher

Now ladies the blusher is important as any other makeup product or step of application

The Importance of Blusher
Clear toned skin

blusher

Don’t leave it out because your makeup will look incomplete
Here are some practical tips for you about the blushers.
Where to apply it and how?

Right on the cheekbones!

Don’t go on the top of the cheekbones with blusher!

Under your cheekbones will be your contour so again no…keep it exactly on the cheekbones.

The right blush can add a pop of color to your cheeks, instantly making you look younger, healthier and prettier. However, many women are unsure about the right type of blush to use and how exactly they should apply it. Choose a suitable color for your skin tone. When choosing a blush colour, it’s important to pick one that matches your natural skin tone.

1. This means that the color you pick should be as close as possible to the color your cheeks turn when you’re naturally flushed. Picking a color that doesn’t match your skin tone can cause your blush to look unnatural and even garish.

2. A good tip for identifying your natural coloring is to make a tight fist with your hand for about ten seconds. The color that develops across your knuckles is the ideal color for your blush!

3. In general, pale skin tones will work best with light pink which mimics their natural flush. For a more dramatic look, peaches and mochas can work well.

4. Sallower skin tones will do best with orange or reddish-pink blushes which brighten the skin, adding a healthy glow.

5. Dark skin tones can get away with vivid oranges, pinks and reds which add a pop of life and color.

Cocktail Makeup Look

Cocktail Makeup Look

A  Cocktail makeup application can be completed in 20 to 30 minutes. Why cocktail? This makeup look is perfect for dinner time, weddings or any occasion where we would like to have a little bit stronger makeup on. Its between the daytime and evening makeup look, but stronger then the daytime look but lighter and softer than the evening look.

Cocktail Makeup Look

Self Makeup

Lets see the steps:

  1. Cleanse, tone and moisturize: Wait a few minutes for moisturizer to be absorbed. Use primer if needed.
  2. Foundation: Dab liquid foundation over the entire face with your fingertips or sponge. For cream foundation use a wet sponge for a better and smoother coverage. Apply in thin layer over the entire face.

When you applying the foundation, you must ensure that you got the right colour. Choose 3 colours which are close to your skin colour. Apply a line on the face from each colour near to the jaw line. The colour which blends into your skin colour and its invisible that is the right foundation for you. Don’t try the foundations on the hands, its not helpful about choosing the right colour, because the skin on the hands are not the same as on your face, its not the same colour as your face and the skin on the face is more sensitive.

Make sure that the entire face is well blended and covered. Dont stop at the jaw line extend the foundation under it also and on the neck. If your first coat of foundation does not cover well, apply a second or third. Layering is always better in the makeup artistry than an initial heavy application.

  1. Corrector / concealer : Cover blemishes and dark areas with orange, yellow or peach-toned

corrector. The concealer will conceal the corrector colour, what is in skin colours. Application with fingertips or concealer brush.

  1. Powder: Use a loose pale yellow-based powder or translucent dusting powder to set the makeup. Apply with a brush, for dry skin dust only around the nose and forehead since these areas t to be a little richer in oils.
  2. Eyebrows: Shape the brows with a small amount of brow powder or pencil. If you have a dark hair, using a colour that is one or two tones lighter than the hair colour. Use a golden brown or light brown shade if you have a fair skin complexion.
  3. Eye shadow: Choose three shades of eye shadow: light, medium and dark. Use the dark to line the upper lid, thinly, along the lash edge. Use medium shade to cover the remaining part of the eye lid up to the crease. Use the lightest shade for the area between the crease and the brow. You can highlight the eyes by using the darkest shade in the crease of the eye, and/or to stretch the eye shadow along the lid out toward the temple and blend the colour.

In this makeup look we can go with a stronger eye makeup. By applying a touch of black in the outer corner of the eye will give deepness to our look. The highlighter can be pearl shine (shimmer) to give a bit of glamour to our eye makeup look.

  1. Eyeliner: Use cake liner and apply with an angled or fine liner brush, or use a sharpened eyeliner pencil. In general apply a black, dark brown, dark grey/black, eyeliner in a thin line at the base of the lashes. Start at the edge of the upper lashes.
  2. Mascara: Black mascara is the best to highlight your lashes. Apply in two thin coats rather than one heavy one. If you are deciding to curl your lashes do it before you applying mascara.
  3. Blush: Apply the blush directly on the cheekbones and blend it to the hairline. You can add a little shimmer on the top of the cheekbones if you want to emphasize them.
  4. Lip liner: Apply lip liner in advance of lip colour as the lip liner helps contain the lipstick, keeps it from feathering, and makes it more durable. Remember that symmetry is beauty. Use your lip liner to improve the symmetrical look of the lips with the right side being the mirror image of the left. Try also to make upper and lower lips appear to be equal thickness.
  5. Lipstick: Neutral shades and sheer formulas are perfect for a daytime look. Use a lip brush to apply dark or bright colour’s since these require very precise application. Add a dot of a gloss to the centre of the bottom lip and then blot. Make sure no lipstick sticks to the teeth.

Powder or Foundation?

What shall i choose? Powder or Foundation, what is better? How often did you ask yourself this question? Lets look into the topic slightly deeper. Right choice based on the skin needs.  Matter fact quite often i choose to work with both products.

 What does foundation do?

Foundations have different textures such as liquid and creamy and help to build proper coverage.  Thickness of the layer depends on features each any any products.  For instance, i suggest to use foundation if you need to cover any imperfections, scars, acne, pimples and etc.  As a suggestion i can name few my Favorite foundations: Lancome Tint idol, Shiseido Skin Glow, Estee Lauder.

What does powder do?

However  i find foundations more useful, lets have a look at powders.  Therefore Modern manufactures produce compacts in powder form. Powders provide less coverage. The main goal of powder is achiving equal skin colour, matte effect and smooth relief. If you are looking for stronger coverage powder won’t be able to achieve this effect.  Top my must have powders: Laura Mercier, Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, Becca, Sensai, Shiseido

I personally recommend  to you both products at the same time. Foundation will help you to hide any kind of imperfections (of course don’t forget about skin prep) and in addition fix foundation with translucent powder. In conclusion powder is just an assistant product but not a individual product.

I strongly suggest to follow the basic steps of make up to achieve perfect skin tone 🙂

What is your favourite products?
