WKND KHALEEJ TIMES MAGAZINE INTERVIEW because we were honoured to be choosen by the khaleej times magazine to interview the lipstick makeup institute.

In their next coming episode about the no makeup look which is a new makeup trend taking media and everyone by storm .

However, our makeup artist explained on our lovely model in a live tutorial how to achieve a no makeup look.

All in all, this is actually harder than it looks. Its simple but complicated as its not easy to make your makeup invisible because you have to choose the exact right colours.

As long as you work for your skin tone and to appear with a natural gorgeous skin , eyelids , long eyelashes , pink cheecks and sun kissed glow skin.

Getting Great Skin tones

Firstly, the look seems effortless. Trying to look natural is more difficult than it appears.

However, this is actually becoming very popular with our clients. It’s had had a sudden shift from serious contouring and very pronounced features to simple looks.

Secondly, Its really lovely to see that people are opting for back to basics rather than the really heavy trend that has ben in for a while now.

Thirdly, strong eyebrows are kind of fading out too.

The very dark, structured eyebrows are becoming softer. The fresh, no effort, nude make up look is finally come back.

Lastly, the little blush like a summers day is back! Yippee!!

Achieving a flawless foundation

All in all this is key to any makeup look.

When applying foundation, less is more.

Start with a small amount on the back of your hand. Use a brush, sponge, or your fingers to apply.

Moreover, brushes give a more polished finish, while sponges provide a natural look.

Fingers are great for quick and easy application. Dab the foundation on your face, then blend outwards. This ensures an even distribution.

It starts with good skin prep.

Firstly, cleanse your face thoroughly. This removes dirt and oil, ensuring a smooth base.

Secondly, apply a moisturizer suited to your skin type. Hydrated skin allows foundation to glide on easily.

Thirdly, moisturizing, use a primer. Primers fill in pores and fine lines, creating an even surface. Choose one that addresses your skin concerns, whether it’s redness, oiliness, or dullness.

Finally, it’s time for foundation.

However, picking the right shade is crucial. Test a few on your jawline to find the perfect match.

Above all the shade should blend seamlessly with your neck.

Celebrity Makeup School Dubai we have earned this title. This is a a fact. Firstly At the lipstick makeup Institute we have worked so hard to further our reputation.

In February 2022. I had meeting was made with us atThe Atlantis Palm Jumeirah. I met the gorgeous Lyndell to chat about projects. hence during our meeting Lyndell told me that she definitely wants to work with me. This was music to my ears.

Contract for NY Eve

Firstly I was so happy and furthermore I knew that I could do it. evidently, even more so I knew I could do it with style.

Graduates

We had won the contract for the New Years Eve Event at The Atlantis. The residents who come from all over the world will need hair and makeup. This was great opportunity for me to employ our graduates and students to help.

We had around 45 staff to prepare the residents for the gala dinner with Kylie Minogue. It was a a formal dress evening and very glamorous.

Everyone who came and sat in the seats were extremely happy. We had no complaints.

Anyway, furthermore it was a complete success for the team at www.thelipstickmakeup.institute

This was the case as we got booked for The Atlantis Royal 3 day event which was HUGE.

It was the biggest job off my career so far. I am now 51 years old and don’t think I can top this one.

I employed maybe around 120 staff for hair and makeup. By and large it was such a success for us. The team serviced only the VIP’s an VVIP”s. The royal Atlantis is such an incredible stage and hotel.

They are such a professional company it brings tears to my eyes that were were chosen. Above all the other makeup schools in Dubai, it was us.

Contouring and Highlighting

We can easily say that contouring and highlighting is one of the biggest trends in makeup although contouring and highlighting is a part of a makeup application for a long time.

What is contouring and highlighting?

With contouring and highlighting we want to bring back the 3D look of the face, to give more dept on the contoured areas and highlight the highest point of the face.

When you apply foundation on the skin it covers the blemishes and refreshes the face but at the same time it kinda wipes off the features and shapes. With contouring we can give more dept and shape to the face also because we are shading the contoured areas will look optically sharper and smaller.

For contouring we are using a greyish – brown colour as we want to make it look the natural and real as possible. This colour can be 3 or 4 shades darker than our skin colour.

Highlighting is a process of enhancing the face areas where the light “hits the face”. The highlighted area is lighter and optically looks wider and bigger.

Tip of the day: if you don’t know where to contour your face, all you need to do is to check your face in a natural light in the mirror. The shadows on the face will show you where you have to contour. Generally its the hairline on the forehead or the temples, eye socket, nose, under the cheekbones, jawline and chin. Don’t forget the contours are changing as the per the face shapes and they are never straight.

Ways to apply liquid foundation

Ways to apply liquid foundation, When applied correctly, liquid foundation can create a beautiful, dewy finish that doesn’t look like makeup at all! Liquid foundation can be little tricky to apply at first, but with a bit of practice, you can achieve flawless-looking skin in a matter of minutes. This article will teach you three different ways to apply liquid foundation. Fingers work best if you want a lighter more natural coverage. Use a sponge or foundation brush to achieve a fuller coverage and create a glam, camera-ready finish.

Cleanse and moisturise your face

Makeup should always be applied to a clean canvas. Wash your face using your normal cleanser and pat dry. If you have dry skin, apply a moisturiser and wait a few minutes before applying foundation to give the moisturiser a chance to work.

If you are in a hurry or have applied too much moisturiser, blot your face with a tissue to remove excess moisturiser before applying foundation.

Pour a dime-sized amount of foundation onto your palette of choice

You can either use the back of your hand, a small dish, or even a folded up napkin. Don’t pour out too much. You can always add more later.

Dip your fingertips into the foundation, and begin to dab it onto your face

Start with two dabs on your forehead, two on each cheek, one on your nose, and one on your chin. A little goes a long way with liquid foundation, and you can always add more to areas that need additional coverage.

Use your fingertips to blend the foundation into your skin

Use either a patting/tapping motion with just the pads of your fingers, or make small, light circles with your fingertips. Begin with the areas that tend to have the most uneven skin tone (nose, cheeks, and forehead for most people) and work out from there.

Think about blending the foundation lightly, not rubbing it in, and definitely not “slathering” it on.
If you need more coverage, add more foundation to your face a dab at a time.

Blend the edges

Blend your foundation carefully into your jawline, hairline, and around your ears to avoid leaving distinct lines.

If you have a sponge, use it to blend the foundation at your jawline using short downward strokes.
If you notice a distinct color change at the jawline, you may need a different shade of foundation.

Tip of the day: for a moisturised dewy look apply the liquid foundation with a wet sponge. In this case you can blend your foundation perfectly in the skin and the result will be natural and flawless.

Successful Self Makeup Application Course

The last couple of days were really fun and successful. A student enrolled for the self makeup application course for 2 days and we had an amazing time with her.

At first, she didn’t know much about makeup and brought her own makeup. From there, we assessed her things and checked if they were the right products for her to become successful. Thankfully, she had a few brushes that were fine, and powder, bronzers, blush and lipsticks that were right for her complexion. Apart from that, the only items that were incorrect were her foundation and eyeshadows.

At first, I taught her a few theoretical aspects of makeup before we headed onto creating makeup looks.

On the first day, we did practice work for Day Makeup. I taught her how to put her makeup on, which brushes to use, how to shape her eyebrows and lips.

On the second and last day of the Self Application Makeup Course, we did a review of the Day Makeup Look and Transitioned it to Evening Makeup and Party Makeup. She was able to do her own makeup with some guidance.

Learning how to put your own makeup is very important especially because appearance in the workplace is essential. When looking for a job, the first thing an employer looks at is someones photograph. In a job interview, a person’s appearance is something someone checks out.

When working in the service business, it’s important to have your makeup done impeccably so that your clients will feel at ease when you talk to them.

Last Day of Classes

Last day is always the hardest yet fulfilling day of the courses. The students were tasked to do an Instagram Glamour inspired Makeup with a twist. As their last photoshoot, they did their best to create their final look as impeccable as possible.

Choosing an inspiration online for their last look was a daunting task but they were able to pull it off. Checking popular ‘makeup gurus’ online made them feel confident about doing their task.

How to mix and choose colours and create shapes are the first thing that our students learn in The International Platinum Media Makeup Course. In this final piece, they’re applying everything they’ve learned from choosing a foundation colour, checking the skin type, and choosing colours that would suit their model’s eye colour. They also had to apply contouring and highlighting according to their model’s facial shape. They also learned how to draw their model’s eyebrows, eyeliner and lips, doing an ombre lip, and lots of other things that they’ve learned.

Things that they’ve been struggling with in the first weeks they were able to achieve on their final week of photoshoots. As earlier during the week they did other shoots like the No Makeup Makeup Look and Makeup for Mature Ladies. They also did Evening looks, Glamour, and Arabic makeup. Special FX, Creative Makeup, High Fashion, and Creative Instagram Glamour Makeup were last. All of which they had to conceptualise by themselves prior to the shoots.

The students gave it their all during the final leg of their course making sure they were able to finish their looks on time. The students also stayed with the photographer to check how their models look so they can do any touch ups if needed.

That was really a fun week!

For the 6 weeks you will learn all you need to know about makeup to become a professional makeup artist. We provide you with a Book like the one below which is the cover. Its mega thick and is packed full of information about every aspect of makeup.

Here at The Lipstick Makeup Institute we also have a photography studio. Not just any photography studio though. We are Special!

This advantage means that every student gets their work photographed on a daily basis. The students spend tome with the photographers in the studio and get a great understanding of how to behave like a makeup artist too. They also can see the difference between makeup for catwalk, media and beauty.

Its so cool to see how much the students increase on a daily basis with their skills. They see the change in themselves too which is such a confident boost. Once they start to learn the fundamental principles of makeup they start to really learn fast.

We teach them everything, nude makeup, fashion makeup, bridal makeup, special effects makeup, high fashion makeup. The no makeup look, Glamorous makeup, absolutely everything about makeup. We work with designers too who supply clothes and jewellers for accessories.

We have so many lovely people who volunteer to come and models for the students so they can practise and as a thank you they get a free photograph.
