WKND KHALEEJ TIMES MAGAZINE INTERVIEW because we were honoured to be choosen by the khaleej times magazine to interview the lipstick makeup institute.

In their next coming episode about the no makeup look which is a new makeup trend  taking media and everyone by  storm  .

However, our makeup artist explained  on our lovely model in a live tutorial  how to achieve a no makeup look.

All in all, this is  actually harder than it looks. Its simple but complicated as its not easy to make your makeup invisible  because you have to choose the exact right colours.

As long as you   work for your skin tone  and to appear with a natural gorgeous skin , eyelids  , long eyelashes , pink cheecks and sun kissed glow skin.

Firstly, the look seems effortless. Trying to look natural is more difficult than it appears.

However, this is actually becoming very popular with our clients. It’s had had a sudden shift from serious contouring and very pronounced features to simple looks.

Secondly, Its really lovely to see that people are opting for back to basics rather than the really heavy trend that has ben in for a while now.

Thirdly,  strong eyebrows are kind of fading out too.

The very dark, structured eyebrows are becoming softer. The fresh, no effort, nude make up look is finally come back.

Lastly, the little blush like a summers day is back!  Yippee!!

When applying foundation, less is more.

Start with a small amount on the back of your hand. Use a brush, sponge, or your fingers to apply.

Moreover, brushes give a more polished finish, while sponges provide a natural look.

Fingers are great for quick and easy application. Dab the foundation on your face, then blend outwards. This ensures an even distribution.

It starts with good skin prep.

Firstly, cleanse your face thoroughly. This removes dirt and oil, ensuring a smooth base.

Secondly, apply a moisturizer suited to your skin type. Hydrated skin allows foundation to glide on easily.

Thirdly,  moisturizing, use a primer. Primers fill in pores and fine lines, creating an even surface. Choose one that addresses your skin concerns, whether it’s redness, oiliness, or dullness.

Finally, it’s time for foundation.

However, picking the right shade is crucial. Test a few on your jawline to find the perfect match.

Above all the shade should blend seamlessly with your neck.

Getting to know your eye shape is essential when you’re trying to elevate your makeup game. Of course, there’s no “one-size-fits-all” with makeup, but knowing what typically complements your eye shape can seriously level up the final look.

 for hooded eyes, there’s typically less eyelid space to play with, so blending shadows up and outwards gives more depth to the lid space. Similarly, to elongate round eyes, you can play with dramatic wing styles to switch up your look.

 

Eyeshadow Tip #2: Perfect Your Blending Technique

Now that you have the tools, you need to level up your blending technique. Here are our top tips:

Mix eyeshadows: Don’t be afraid to mix and match eyeshadows on your brush to create a more harmonious look. Make sure you tap off any excess pigment before applying it to your lid to reduce fallout.

Pat, then blend: To create an even base, use a dense brush and pack the product onto the lid by gently pressing the powder onto the skin. Then blend it out using back-and-forth motions (think: windshield wipers).

Blend outwards: To lift the eye, drag the eyeshadow outwards, up towards the tail of the brow. This will create a subtle cat-eye effect, even without a winged liner.

Eyeshadow Tip #3: Don’t Forget the Lower Lash Line

 

A little eyeshadow on the outer corner of the lower lash line goes a long way. For an everyday look, use softer hues, like a soft brown, then opt for a deeper shade for a more dramatic look. Apply the shadow using a small dense brush, then blend out using a slightly larger, fluffier brush. You can also tight-line your lower lash line with a beige eyeliner pencil (white can be too harsh) to create the illusion of bigger eyes.

Regardless of the look you’re going for – from a natural look to a smokey eye – always define your crease by contouring your lid. You’ll add depth and definition to the eye by simply creating the illusion of a shadow in your crease. Start by taking an eyeshadow two to three shades deeper than your skin tone. Your bronzer shade will work perfectly. Pro tip: The secret is slowly building up the eyeshadow with a soft fluffy brush, using a back-and-forth motion.

Celebrity Makeup School Dubai we have earned this title. This is a a fact.  Firstly At the lipstick makeup Institute we have worked so hard to further our reputation. 

In February 2022. I had  meeting was made with us atThe Atlantis Palm Jumeirah. I met the gorgeous Lyndell to chat about projects.  hence during our meeting Lyndell told me that she definitely wants to work with me. This was music to my ears.

Firstly I was so happy and furthermore I knew that  I could do it. evidently, even more so I knew I could do it with style.

We had won the contract for the New Years Eve Event at The Atlantis. The residents who come from all over the world will need hair and makeup.  This was great opportunity for me to employ our graduates and students to help. 

We had around 45 staff to prepare the residents for the gala dinner with Kylie Minogue. It was a a formal dress evening and very glamorous. 

Everyone who came and sat in the seats were extremely happy. We had no complaints.

Anyway, furthermore  it was a complete success for the team at www.thelipstickmakeup.institute

This was the case  as we got booked for The Atlantis Royal 3 day event which was HUGE. 

 

It was the biggest job off my career so far. I am now 51 years old and don’t think I can top this one. 

 

I employed maybe around 120 staff for hair and makeup.  By and large it was such a success for us. The team serviced only the VIP’s an VVIP”s. The royal Atlantis is such an incredible stage and hotel. 

 

They are such a professional company it brings tears to my eyes that were were chosen. Above all the other makeup schools in Dubai, it was us.

Successful Self Makeup Application Course

The last couple of days were really fun and successful. A student enrolled for the self makeup application course for 2 days and we had an amazing time with her. 

At first, she didn’t know much about makeup and brought her own makeup. From there, we assessed her things and checked if they were the right products for her to become successful. Thankfully, she had a few brushes that were fine, and powder, bronzers, blush and lipsticks that were right for her complexion. Apart from that, the only items that were incorrect were her foundation and eyeshadows.

At first, I taught her a few theoretical aspects of makeup before we headed onto creating makeup looks. 

On the first day, we did practice work for Day Makeup. I taught her how to put her makeup on, which brushes to use, how to shape her eyebrows and lips.

On the second and last day of the Self Application Makeup Course, we did a review of the Day Makeup Look and Transitioned it to Evening Makeup and Party Makeup. She was able to do her own makeup with some guidance.

Last Day of Classes

Last day is always the hardest yet fulfilling day of the courses. The students were tasked to do an Instagram Glamour inspired Makeup with a twist.  As their last photoshoot, they did their best to create their final look as impeccable as possible.

Choosing an inspiration online for their last look was a daunting task but they were able to pull it off. Checking popular ‘makeup gurus’ online made them feel confident about doing their task.

How to mix and choose colours and create shapes are the first thing that our students learn in The International Platinum Media Makeup Course. In this final piece, they’re applying everything they’ve learned from choosing a foundation colour, checking the skin type, and choosing colours that would suit their model’s eye colour. They also had to apply contouring and highlighting according to their model’s facial shape. They also learned how to draw their model’s eyebrows, eyeliner and lips, doing an ombre lip, and lots of other things that they’ve learned.

Things that they’ve been struggling with in the first weeks they were able to achieve on their final week of photoshoots. As earlier during the week they did other shoots like the No Makeup Makeup Look and Makeup for Mature Ladies. They also did Evening looks, Glamour, and Arabic makeup. Special FX, Creative Makeup, High Fashion, and Creative Instagram Glamour Makeup were last. All of which they had to conceptualise by themselves prior to the shoots.

The students gave it their all during the final leg of their course making sure they were able to finish their looks on time. The students also stayed with the photographer to check how their models look so they can do any touch ups if needed.

That was really a fun week!

This advantage means that every student gets their work photographed on a daily basis. The students spend tome with the photographers in the studio and get a great understanding of how to behave like a makeup artist too. They also can see the difference between makeup for catwalk, media and beauty.

Its so cool to see  how much the students increase on a daily basis with their skills. They see the change in themselves too which is such a confident boost. Once they start to learn the fundamental principles of makeup they start to really learn fast.

 

We teach them everything, nude makeup, fashion makeup, bridal makeup, special effects makeup, high fashion makeup. The no makeup look, Glamorous makeup, absolutely everything about makeup. We work with designers too who supply clothes and jewellers for accessories.

 

We have so many lovely people who volunteer to come and models for the students so they can practise and as a thank you they get a free photograph.
