Last Day of Classes

Last Makeup class

Last day is always the hardest yet fulfilling day of the courses. The students were tasked to do an Instagram Glamour inspired Makeup with a twist. As their last photoshoot, they did their best to create their final look as impeccable as possible.

Choosing an inspiration online for their last look was a daunting task but they were able to pull it off. Checking popular ‘makeup gurus’ online made them feel confident about doing their task.

How to mix and choose colours and create shapes are the first thing that our students learn in The International Platinum Media Makeup Course. In this final piece, they’re applying everything they’ve learned from choosing a foundation colour, checking the skin type, and choosing colours that would suit their model’s eye colour. They also had to apply contouring and highlighting according to their model’s facial shape.

Things that they’ve been struggling with in the first weeks they were able to achieve on their final week of photoshoots. As earlier during the week they did other shoots like the No Makeup Makeup Look and Makeup for Mature Ladies. They also did Evening looks, Glamour, and Arabic makeup. Special FX, Creative Makeup, High Fashion, and Creative Instagram Glamour Makeup were last. All of which they had to conceptualise by themselves prior to the shoots.

The students gave it their all during the final leg of their course making sure they were able to finish their looks on time. The students also stayed with the photographer to check how their models look so they can do any touch ups if needed.

Lets celebrate all the lovely Mums!

The Lipstick Makeup Institute was a part of the Mothers Day makeup filming in Osh Kosh baby store.

Your setup reflects you. Make sure that your makeup products and brushes are always clean and well organised.

We took our students to experience the working on a location and in front of camera feeling of the Mothers Day makeup filming .

Our students were responsible for a nice flawless and fresh makeup on these lovely ladies.

The task was easy. The mothers got few questions to answer while our students are pampering them and making sure they look lovely and perfectly made up. In this case the perfectly made up means not over the top, nothing glamorous but just a touch of makeup what will make the face fresh, the skin flawless.

The less is always more. This is the most important to memorise!

Always work with the face and the features. Don’t try to apply the same makeup style on every single face.

We are all unique, we all have a different personality also different needs when it comes to makeup. What will suit to me won’t suit you and to some other person.

Our students are trained in that way to recognise the needs of different faces and features. Makeup is used to enhance the beauty and correct the small imperfections not to make you look like a different person.

Todays makeup look was a Mothers Day makeup. Why is it different than the other makeup looks?

Its very light as a base. On the eyes we were using beige, browns with a touch of highlight. Mascara of course is a must. On the cheeks we added a touch of peach-orange colour to give a refreshing effect for the face as some of our ladies didn’t sleep much. On the lips a transparent lipgloss.

It was fun. We heard loads of stories about the funniest stories about their kids, the most important words they love to hear from their kids, and the everyday with 2 or 3 kids in the house.

Teaching Experience

It has really been an amazing week and i would like to thank the one who gave me this wonderful chance to achive one of my dreams .

Thank you Yasmin Hussain owner and managing director at The Lipstick Makeup Institute and YH Studios. I have had an absolutely amazing oportunity for being a makeup educator in such an amazing place. Its like working in a makeup and fashion castle. Everything around you starting with the place loctation , name , decorations , furniture , stuff , music , students , makeup , photoshoots all day> The main attribute of course her passion and love to her work which is in the air and you can feel it as soon as you enter this gorgeous place .

I will talk about my experience in teaching two different makeup courses. On this blog I will talk about The Bronze Bridal Makeup Course and my next blog I will talk about The Silver Creative Makeup Course. tips and some makeup applications secrets too. They completely rose to the challenges I set.

Bronze Bridal Makeup Course

The Bronze Bridal Makeup Course ( European , Arabic and Indian ) i have been through all the steps and details with my lovely student and explained to her the difference between every bridal look and how to prepare the bride for her big day and of course practicing every look on a model so she can learn how to correct and define her mistakes to achieve her final look by using the wonderful kryolan makeup products .

We are really honoured to be interviewed by the wknd khaleej times magazine. We gave a tutorial on achieving the no makeup look , The way we teach at The Lipstick Makeup Institute which is the trend now in Dubai and around the whole world .

How to achieve this gorgeous look ? This is the question everyone into fashion and beauty is asking. Its not as easy as you think. The lipstick makeup institute expert gave a step by step beauty tutorial to answer all about this new makeup trend .

Here is our tutorial steps and makeup tips to our beautiful ladies in dubai and the lipstick makeup institute lovers .

Here are the STEPS below in print.

1 – Firstly, cleansing , toning and moisturising which is the most important step .

2 – Its so important to find the perfect foundation for your skin tone. You can even blend another foundation lighter or darker to get an effortlessy natural glow. Our skin colour changes constantly. A bit of sun and we are a shade darker. We must compensate for this.

3 – Secondly, You can blend the foundation well with a wet sponge or a brush. You must blend it in well though so its almost invisible. This is the sign of good foundation.

4 – You should contour under the cheekbone , jawline , chin, temples and nose. This will lightly to give defention to your features .

5 – Thirdly, apply correctors to even out the dark circles , then highlight the centre of chin , under eyes and top of cheekbones with a cream highlighter .

6 – in order to set the base use loose or translucent powder and blend it with a brush . this will ensure a matte finish .

7 – Lastly, run a brush through your eyebrows and highlight with a shade that is at least three or four lighter than your eyeshadow . this is to give a gentle defention .

Eyeshadow Tips

8 – apply an eyeshadow over your eyes . start with a lighter base and move on to a darker shade .

9 – take an angular brush dab it on a darker shade that complements the eyeshadow and apply it on top of your eyes , smudge it later with the brush ( you could avoid eyeliner completly ) .

10 – However, for mascaras you can choose to apply a combination one for length the other for volume .

11 – All in all. Although this may be true, to give your lower eyeline just the right amount of definition apply a beige liner and for a night time look you could substitute with a white liner .

12 -Another key point, for blush go for soft colours like peaches or oranges and for a night look you could use a bronzer or dark pinks depending on the lipstick you are wearing .

13 – apply a lipliner for lipstick , go for glossy ,understated colours in this case its rosy , brown avoid mattes .

Its so easy once you know how and follow instructions.

Long gone now are the days when we paste the make up and have rosy cheeks and seriously contoured cheekbones. Less is more as they say.

Yesterday was a great day Dubai tv was shooting at the lipstick makeup institute .

They are definitely and this is why we need to make sure that we have the right shape of eyebrows and they are nicely defined.

Don’t overdo them!!! The Secret to Perfect eyebrows 2

Equally important, every part of our face is equally important.

For example, so make sure that your makeup is in harmony with the whole face.

Eyebrows are important such as cheekbones or lips or eyes.

But how to shape them? And how to make them perfect?

First of all you can choose if you like your eyebrows soft and natural or more defined.

If you are in the first group of soft eyebrow lovers all what you will do is:

However, clean up the excess hair around your eyebrows with tweezers. Clean lines look smooth and sharp
brush your eyebrows with an eyebrow brush
take an angled brush, get a 3 or 4 shades lighter colour than your eyebrows and fill them up
why use a lighter colour? because we want to create shadow between the hair. If you will take the same colour of your eyebrow it will become much more stronger and aggressive. Too dark just looks so false and really doesn’t look good. The fashion now is to have amazing eyebrows but must be done right.

Learn with Lipstick

If you like sharp and defined eyebrows:

Firstly, Make sure that your eyebrows are fully cleaned no hair around them.
In conclusion, take a concealer and apply a lighter shade around your eyebrows from the top and bottom part.
Secondly, take an angled brush and with an eyeshadow what is lighter than your eyebrows draw a line from the bottom of your eyebrows and a top of the eyebrows. Start to blend the two lines together.
Thirdly, also brush it. Anytime you can add more eyeshadow colour or if you feel its too strong you can tone it down by brushing the eyebrows.
Lastly, to fix your eyebrows you can use eyebrow gel, it will make the hair stay at the place and will give your eyebrows a nice shiny look.

Practice makes perfect! Always and if you apply this logic to your life then you will not go far wrong.
