Lamya Abedin’s amazing show at SS17 with The Lipstick Teams

QUEEN OF SPADES TOOK ME ON A VOYAGE DU CARNAVAL

Thursday 6th October 2016 the beautiful Lamya Abedin opened Arab fashion week with her Carnival Themed Fashion Show. Simply elegance.

She not only opened the show but bust onto the runway with a creative and amazing collection of high fashion !! The Bohemian dressed , very tall models, floated down the runway to very cool and contemporary carnival music. To compliment the show the smell of popcorn filled the room as there were popcorn stations and candy floss stations to worked so well for the collection and were all there for the customers and guests to take advantage of. it made us all get into the spirit of, “Carnival”. Fun and sophisticated comes to mind.

Her designs and use of materials pushed the boundaries of design. They were such mixture that blended together so well.

To close her show her beautiful little daughter also cam outer confidently and elegantly onto the runway holding one of the models hands so sweetly.

We were so pleased to have handled all the hair and make up for Arab Fashion Week and held in such a prestigious location. It has put The Lipstick Make Up Institute on an International Platform making The Institute one step higher to becoming The Best Make Up Institute in Dubai.

The experience was amazing. I could and will write a blog on all the designers as they were all so amazing, different and very cool and easy to work with. In fact, everyone was cool from the organisers to the models. It was just a spectacular 5 days and the adrenalin never stopped rushing! The whole of The Lipstick make Up Institute Teams loved it!!

Day 4 of Arab Fashion Week

Another amazing, crazy busy day at Meydan Hotel. We are the major Sponsors of Arab Fashion week for the hair, make up and nails.

I am blown away by the camaraderie, support and respect everyone has for each other.

These events are something special that everyone just loves to be involved in, including me. Sometimes it make you crazy as the pressure and timings are sometimes unrealistic but its fun and exciting!

People respond better under pressure. What does not break us makes us stronger.

What a week so far, day 3 of Arab Fashion Week. The Lipstick Make Up Institute Teams are always hard at work. Behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly.

Working with International Models flown in from all over the world. Brazil, Italy, Switzerland, Russia and lots of places.

What a pleasure to work with such professionals.

Just amazing, all the Lipstick Teams loved it. We had major support from everyone. Feel so lucky and proud. after this event we can do anything in the world. Its on par with New York, Milan and London Fashion Weeks.

The correct foundation application

Brush? Sponge? Beauty blender or fingers?

What is the right way? Well it depends what is the texture of your foundation.

If its liquid the best is to apply with a foundation brush or buffing or kabuki brush. This way the foundation layer will be thin and invisible on your skin but the same time a nice coverage. The Beauty blender is for blending the foundation after the brush application.

Cream foundations especially if we are using Kryolan Supracolor, Dermacolor or TV Stick the best to apply with wet latex sponge by dabbing in the skin not dragging around the foundation.

The correct foundation application

Tip of the day: If you have a dry skin and wondering how to achieve dewy and healthy glowing skin here is our tip for you. Before applying the liquid foundation spray your face with a water spray or rose water.

Do this between every single step. The rose water will give you a moisturised and dewy look.

To apply foundation, most individuals use their fingers, a sponge, or a brush. During a season change, there is a modest alteration in skin tone among sunscreen users. If you normally apply foundation with a brush, experiment with using your fingers. It only need a tiny amount of product. To blend out the foundation, use a wet sponge.

Choose Your Foundations

Blend the foundation with a deeper color. Always remember that a darker foundation must be applied after a lighter one. Newer techniques combine two foundations of the same colour. After that combine the bright and dark foundations. It will provide you with a precise and superior foundation appearance while also improving your complexion.
