Determined and strong women of Dubai gather today at Meydan at the runway.

The Lipstick Makeup Institute Team is there to take care of these lovely models makeup as they wheel into the runway. 

This event is in cooperation with Fashion Week Dubai. Together with Smart Water, Makeup Forever ME, Uriage, H2 Rose and That Hair Tho, we celebrate beauty with determined women around Dubai.

Our team is in Meydan now preparing the models for the runway with our official sponsor – Makeup Forever ME. They have graciously provided the makeup products for this amazing event. 

As usual, our graduates take care of this event together with our amazing head makeup artist Kris. She is making sure all of the models are ready before the show.

Our graduates have been helpful throughout the years in events that we have a lot of paid and unpaid jobs. The TLMI students and graduates learn knowledge and experience in the makeup industry by participating in these events.

The Lipstick Makeup Institute is one of a kind and we is one of the makeup institutes that give jobs. The Lipstick Makeup Institute and YH  Studio is so diverse and that’s why we can give them experience in the makeup field. We are very fortunate to be connected in different fields in Dubai and thus give our students experiences that they can never get anywhere else.

LIAM PAYNE MAKEUP DONE BY THE LIPSTICK TEAM

Liam Payne, former member of the boy band One Direction, headed to Dubai for another concert for the Dubai Shopping Festival.

Liam Payne is well known for hit songs such as Strip That Down, Polaroid, Bedroom Floor and his latest single Stack It Up.

The Lipstick Makeup Institute team was asked to do Liam’s makeup for the concert held in Dubai last 27th of December 2019. This concert commemorated the opening of the Dubai Shopping Festival held yearly every December to about February of the following year.

The Lipstick team was tasked to do Liam Payne’s makeup and make sure that he looks flawless throughout the evening.

Together with the Lipstick Makeup Team was Sisters Beauty Lounge that took care of Liam Payne’s hair for the concert. 

It’s such a great honour to work with celebrities like Liam Payne in the industry. As a student and graduate of The Lipstick Makeup Institute, you’ll have those chances. Our students and graduates have a more stable footing when they finish their studies with us.

BBC Documentary at the Lipstick Makeup Institute

BBC Ireland passed by our makeup institute a couple of days ago to do an interview with Yasmin Hussain the founder of YH Studios and The Lipstick Makeup Institute.

BBC Ireland passed by the other day to do a documentary with Yasmin for a TV show. The shoot was was scheduled for two days in YH Studios, The Lipstick Makeup Institute and the Arab Fashion Council Headquarters.

They were able to feature some of our students working on their models and had an interview with Jacob Abrian, the CEO and Founder of the Arab Fashion Council. 

The BBC crew were able to film our teachers, students and graduates while working on our models in the hour-long documentary.

They talked about how the students and graduates are very much involved during and after their courses finish. This is very evident with the fact that we bring them to different events and photoshoots. This is also great for them to have exposure for their careers as makeup artists. It is a blessing to have wonderful and talented students that are so hard working.  

They toured around the facilities and showcased our new location at City Walk 2. We wanted to make sure that people know that we’ve moved from Media City and is now in a better area at the heart of Dubai.

Trunk Show at 1422 – A new season, a new collection. The Arab Fashion Council will be holding another trunk show together with The Lipstick Makeup Institute Team. It will be held in the Arab Fashion Council Head Quarters in City Walk.

Trunk Show at 1422 – Our team is doing makeup for the trunk show with the Arab Fashion Council. We are very excited about this. Our team will be backstage taking care of the models before the show. Making sure that they’re ready before they walk out clad in beautiful garments made by world class designers from the region. As the official backstage makeup team, we strive to showcase our talents and skills no matter how big or small the event is.  

We’ll be using the cosmetic products provided to us by Makeup Forever Middle East. They have been gracious enough to sponsor our Institute with their amazing products. 

Also, if you haven’t read our previous blog, we mentioned that we’re having a crash course on the Professional Platinum Media Makeup Diploma Course. We’re holding this course for three weeks intensively – like a boot camp. The students who will be joining this course will be receiving the benefits of the Platinum Media Makeup Diploma Course. They will be receiving the Platinum Diploma and will be completely certified, discounts from various professional brands like Makeup Forever, Grimas, Kryolan and others. PROFESSIONAL – In this Course you will learn the basics – advanced makeup application. Whether it be in the beauty field or the fashion industry you’ll be ready to go and be certified. Students who will join this course will have the benefits of the Professional Platinum Media Makeup Course.

You will receive the Platinum Diploma, 5 Professional Portfolio Photos with Models. You will also get discounts to various makeup brands such as Makeup Forever, Kryolan, Grimas, Inglot and others. Final Creative makeup, we teach basics of using different mediums such as cream coloured makeup, water based makeup (face paint), body painting and how to stick materials to the skin without damaging it. Our institute always aims to give our students the chance to hone their skills by giving them projects even after their studies with us. We always remind our students that learning doesn’t end in school. It starts as you work. Gaining experience is hard if you don’t know where to look — especially paid jobs.

Bulgari Hotel with TLMI

9th of August, 2019, we had a client at Bulgari Hotels & Resorts Dubai. With our efforts to help our student practice their skills, we brought one of our students to the hotel. Our students have been taking the Platinum Makeup Course for 5 weeks now and they’re about to finish the course this week.

We brought her for a photoshoot with one of our VIP Clients who came all the way from Malaysia for their Wedding Anniversary at the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts. Together with the YH Studios Team and the Head Teacher of The Lipstick Makeup Institute, our student was able to create a glam look on the client.

For the past 5 weeks that she was with us, she has learned how to properly create a full look on different skin types, skin tones, and different eye shapes. We’ve given them tasks that would hone their skills for their upcoming career as a professional makeup artist.

The past 5 weeks, they’ve been put in situations like professional photoshoots for magazines and fashion shows. In makeup, skills are not the only important thing but also character building and ethics and how you present yourself as a makeup artist on set.

In Bulgari Hotels and Resorts with our VIP Clients, we were able to present our student to the guests as professional as possible. They were very happy with the results of the shoot and enjoyed the whole experience. 

As for our student, she has gained experience and confidence by working with real-life clients which is not available in other makeup institutes. Of course, it is with the guidance of our head teachers from The Lipstick Makeup Institute.
