Every makeup artist knows that achieving a flawless look isn’t always easy. However, with the right tips, you can master it. First, let’s talk about skincare. Good makeup starts with great skin. Always cleanse and moisturize before applying anything. Why? Because a clean canvas helps makeup stay longer.

Next, consider your foundation. It’s important to choose the right shade. You can do this by testing it on your jawline.

All in all, if it blends in perfectly, it’s the right match. Moreover, using a beauty blender helps spread foundation evenly. In addition, always set your foundation with a translucent powder. This step ensures it lasts all day.

Eye makeup

However, let’s move to eye makeup.

Firstly, start with a primer. It makes eyeshadow pop and stay in place.

Secondly, then, choose colors that complement your eye color.

For instance, brown eyes look amazing with purple or gold tones.

Thirdly, likewise, blue eyes stand out with bronze or copper shades. Afterward, blend well. In short, blending is key to flawless eye makeup.

WKND KHALEEJ TIMES MAGAZINE INTERVIEW because we were honoured to be choosen by the khaleej times magazine to interview the lipstick makeup institute.

In their next coming episode about the no makeup look which is a new makeup trend taking media and everyone by storm .

However, our makeup artist explained on our lovely model in a live tutorial how to achieve a no makeup look.

All in all, this is actually harder than it looks. Its simple but complicated as its not easy to make your makeup invisible because you have to choose the exact right colours.

As long as you work for your skin tone and to appear with a natural gorgeous skin , eyelids , long eyelashes , pink cheecks and sun kissed glow skin.

Getting Great Skin tones

Firstly, the look seems effortless. Trying to look natural is more difficult than it appears.

However, this is actually becoming very popular with our clients. It’s had had a sudden shift from serious contouring and very pronounced features to simple looks.

Secondly, Its really lovely to see that people are opting for back to basics rather than the really heavy trend that has ben in for a while now.

Thirdly, strong eyebrows are kind of fading out too.

The very dark, structured eyebrows are becoming softer. The fresh, no effort, nude make up look is finally come back.

Lastly, the little blush like a summers day is back! Yippee!!

So cool that the guys at Al Khaleej are recognising the trend.

Achieving a flawless foundation

All in all this is key to any makeup look.

When applying foundation, less is more.

Start with a small amount on the back of your hand. Use a brush, sponge, or your fingers to apply.

Moreover, brushes give a more polished finish, while sponges provide a natural look.

Fingers are great for quick and easy application. Dab the foundation on your face, then blend outwards. This ensures an even distribution.

It starts with good skin prep.

Firstly, cleanse your face thoroughly. This removes dirt and oil, ensuring a smooth base.

Secondly, apply a moisturizer suited to your skin type. Hydrated skin allows foundation to glide on easily.

Thirdly, moisturizing, use a primer. Primers fill in pores and fine lines, creating an even surface. Choose one that addresses your skin concerns, whether it’s redness, oiliness, or dullness.

Finally, it’s time for foundation.

However, picking the right shade is crucial. Test a few on your jawline to find the perfect match.

Above all the shade should blend seamlessly with your neck.

As I have shown, when applying foundation, less is more.

Celebrity Makeup School Dubai we have earned this title. This is a a fact. Firstly At the lipstick makeup Institute we have worked so hard to further our reputation.

In February 2022. I had meeting was made with us atThe Atlantis Palm Jumeirah. I met the gorgeous Lyndell to chat about projects. hence during our meeting Lyndell told me that she definitely wants to work with me. This was music to my ears.

Contract for NY Eve

Firstly I was so happy and furthermore I knew that I could do it. evidently, even more so I knew I could do it with style.

Graduates

We had won the contract for the New Years Eve Event at The Atlantis. The residents who come from all over the world will need hair and makeup. This was great opportunity for me to employ our graduates and students to help.

We had around 45 staff to prepare the residents for the gala dinner with Kylie Minogue. It was a a formal dress evening and very glamorous.

Everyone who came and sat in the seats were extremely happy. We had no complaints.

Anyway, furthermore it was a complete success for the team at www.thelipstickmakeup.institute

This was the case as we got booked for The Atlantis Royal 3 day event which was HUGE.

It was the biggest job off my career so far. I am now 51 years old and don’t think I can top this one.

I employed maybe around 120 staff for hair and makeup. By and large it was such a success for us. The team serviced only the VIP’s an VVIP”s. The royal Atlantis is such an incredible stage and hotel.

They are such a professional company it brings tears to my eyes that were were chosen. Above all the other makeup schools in Dubai, it was us.

Setting your foundation Tips

Setting your foundation Tips. We’ve all been there. You spend all this time perfecting your skin with foundation and concealer, and it looks great – awesome! Now you don’t want that to move, so you set it with some powder. And bam! Just like that: cake face. Now what?

Powder is great for setting your makeup and making sure it doesn’t slide around, but the slightest excess of it can take you from amazing to ‘ew’ in about 2 seconds flat. But don’t worry, there’s a way to fix that. All you need to do is apply your powder with a taco. Wait, what? Yes, you heard us: a taco–a powder puff taco, that is. The “taco” method is one that’s been taught in makeup academies for years and will ensure that makeup stays put while cake face stays in the past. Intrigued? Read on.

Setting your foundation Tip 1: Make sure any excess oil is gone

Excess oil is the number one way for makeup to cake up on your face. To prevent that from happening, you need to make sure it’s gone before you set with powder. After you’ve applied your foundation and concealer, take an oil blotting sheet, or even a tissue, and gently blot any excess oil or product away.

Setting your foundation Tip 2: Pour loose, colorless powder onto puff

Grab a powder puff (it can be large or small) and with it laying flat, deposit a small amount of loose, colorless powder onto the center of the puff. It is imperative here that you are using a powder that is 100% translucent. Using a tinted powder can alter the color of your foundation or even change the way it looks throughout the course of the day.

Setting your foundation Tips 3: Fold puff into taco shape and rub together

Here’s where the “taco” part comes in. You want to fold up the edges of your powder puff, creating a “taco” shape, with the loose powder inside the pocket you’ve just formed. Now, take both sides of the “taco” and rub them together well in order to really get the powder into the puff.

Setting your foundation Tips: 4 Fold “taco” in the other direction and repeat

Open the powder puff up and fold it in the other direction. So, if you folded it horizontally the first time, fold it vertically this time, or vice versa. Repeat the same process of massaging the sides together.

Setting your foundation Tips: 5 Knock off the excess

Unfold the puff and gently knock off any excess by flicking the underside of the puff. This ensures that you won’t be applying too much powder onto your face.

Setting your foundation Tips: 6 Press and roll puff into skin

With your now powdered puff, take it and form it into a “taco” again, this time with the powdered side on the bottom. Then, gently press and roll it onto the skin. Don’t swipe! This will disturb the makeup underneath. By pressing and rolling, you are locking in the foundation and concealer and ensuring that the makeup is really melting into the skin.

Setting your foundation Tips: 7 Finish off with a setting spray

Finish the face off with a few spritzes of your favorite setting spray. Doing this will get rid of any residual powder that may be laying on top of the skin, make you look fresh, and will lock in the makeup even more. No cake face here!

Contouring and Highlighting

We can easily say that contouring and highlighting is one of the biggest trends in makeup although contouring and highlighting is a part of a makeup application for a long time.

What is contouring and highlighting?

With contouring and highlighting we want to bring back the 3D look of the face, to give more dept on the contoured areas and highlight the highest point of the face.

When you apply foundation on the skin it covers the blemishes and refreshes the face but at the same time it kinda wipes off the features and shapes. With contouring we can give more dept and shape to the face also because we are shading the contoured areas will look optically sharper and smaller.

For contouring we are using a greyish – brown colour as we want to make it look the natural and real as possible. This colour can be 3 or 4 shades darker than our skin colour.

Highlighting is a process of enhancing the face areas where the light “hits the face”. The highlighted area is lighter and optically looks wider and bigger.

Tip of the day: if you don’t know where to contour your face, all you need to do is to check your face in a natural light in the mirror. The shadows on the face will show you where you have to contour. Generally its the hairline on the forehead or the temples, eye socket, nose, under the cheekbones, jawline and chin. Don’t forget the contours are changing as the per the face shapes and they are never straight.
