The time had come again. Arab Fashion Week hit Dubai with full force. Once again we were so pleased to be involved.

Being backstage at a fashion show is so much more than just being a MakeUp artist. You are part of a family to get the show on the road. The trick is to all stick together, work with confidence, keep alert and of course ALWAYS smile and never loose focus. Its important to be on the ball as fashion shows can be a crazy rush backstage.

When it comes to fashion shows, they key thing to remember is timing is everything. As beautiful and stunning fashion shows are from the front row, its not all glitz and glamour backstage. Backstage is where the months of hard work comes to life in a matter of hours. However, the rush is additive and the achievement you feel once the show has finished lasts for days.

This amazing experience gave our fantastic Lipstick Make Up Institute team to express their artistry in more ways than one. Each day kept us all on our toes, we all loved it and left us craving for more. We got to work with fashion designers from around the world which we can all defiantly say this is a “pinch-me” moment. You might be there to do MakeUp but do not be surprised if you get pulled by someone to help dress a model, tidy a models hair or even to maybe run and get some water and food for everyone.

Working in a fashion show keeps you up to date with the latest beauty trends and whats the hottest new looks. You could be the most experience MakeUp artist but you will always learn new tricks backstage that you can bring home, this will make you very popular with your girlfriends.

Arab Fashion Week was held between 5 days. We will take you through each day with all the looks changes and show you some fantastic pictures we managed to get in whist our team worked their magic.

What a week so far, day 3 of Arab Fashion Week. The Lipstick Make Up Institute Teams are always hard at work. Behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly.

Working with International Models flown in from all over the world. Brazil, Italy, Switzerland, Russia and lots of places.

What a pleasure to work with such professionals.

Just amazing, all the Lipstick Teams loved it. We had major support from everyone. Feel so lucky and proud. after this event we can do anything in the world. Its on par with New York, Milan and London Fashion Weeks.

Day 3 of #Arabfashionweek . Backstage is where all the fun,action and tension is. What a team effort. Support from every angle . Amazing show other #aouadiparis with gold leaves applied to the models, fingertips, feet and one completely covered in gold.

Eurasian Beauty Championship Baku

We just came back from Baku as we represented the UAE on The Eurasian Beauty Championship 2016 in hair and makeup.

What to say? We spent 4 wonderful days in this amazing city.

The trip started with laugh and fun and ended with happiness and celebration.

Lets see how we started and what was exactly happening in Baku?

In the organisation of The World Beauty Congress a competition was held in Baku for the most talented artists all over Asia and Europe to showcase their work in Hair styling and Makeup.

As our team is always in fun and having a great time wherever we go we started the competition with a selfie.

About the competition

There were 18 contestants, hair stylists and makeup artists.

We had 55 minutes to create a fashion makeup and 55 minutes to create a fashion hair style.

Fashion Makeup

Just started with a foundation. I had 55 minutes to create a Fashion Makeup Look. As the jury said they want to see something new, an own creation between evening makeup and creative makeup… not too much but enough to amaze them.

Ive had a picture in my mind what i want to see on the model as it should be. Nothing without a vision. Our vision was a high fashion look with arabic touch dramatic and glamorous .
