Contouring at Lipstick

Contouring at Lipstick

Contouring at Lipstick The Art of Contouring: A Beginner’s Guide* Contouring has become a buzzword in the beauty world, and for good reason.

This makeup technique, when done right, can enhance your natural features, giving your face a sculpted and defined look. Whether you’re aiming for chiseled cheekbones, a slimmer nose, or a more pronounced jawline, contouring can help you achieve that.

But before you dive in, let’s break it down into simple steps to make it easy to understand.

Understanding Contouring

First and foremost, you need to know what contouring is. Essentially, contouring is all about creating shadows and highlights on your face.

The shadows, created with a darker shade of makeup, will help recede areas you want to minimize. Meanwhile, the highlights, made with a lighter shade, will bring forward the features you want to emphasize.

Therefore, the contrast between light and dark creates the illusion of depth and dimension.

Now, let’s move on to the tools you’ll need. To begin with, you’ll need a contour product.

This could be a powder, cream, or stick, depending on your skin type and preference. In addition to this, you’ll need a highlighter and a good set of brushes.

The Brushes

A contour brush with an angled edge works best for applying the darker shade, while a blending brush is perfect for softening any harsh lines.

Once you have your tools, it’s time to get started. Start by applying the contour product in the hollows of your cheeks, along your hairline, and on the sides of your nose.

Additionally, apply it under your jawline for a more defined look. Afterward, blend it out using circular motions to avoid any harsh lines.

Next, apply the highlighter on the high points of your face – think the tops of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and your brow bone.
Finally, blending is key. Keep blending until the makeup seamlessly integrates with your skin.
The goal is to create a natural, sculpted look, not harsh lines. In conclusion, practice makes perfect, so don’t be afraid to experiment and find what works best for your face shape.
With time, you’ll master the art of contouring!

Tricks and tips on how to do Ombre Lips

Hi there! Today we will talk about how to create and define ombre lipstick!

Ombre means having two different colours that are monochromatic.

Tricks and tips on how to do Ombre Lips

Ombre isn’t just for your hair! The sexy, ombré  lip look is one you’re going to want to wear always, and shout to the world about it. Be creative and bold with your makeup and try out this ombre lip look.

Ombre lips can look awesome, but if not done correctly they can make you look very tacky! The secret to doing ombre lips is to first try it out with your regular lip colors. Play around with different hues that merge well together and once you are satisfied with the results only then step out into the open.

Step by Step Ombre Lips:

Apply concealer over your lips to hide the natural colour.

Use the dark lip liner to create a line around the edge of your lips as you would normally. Add more of this dark colour lip liner to the corner of your lips bringing this dark colour in towards the middle, but do not colour all of your lips with this shade. You can also extend this line and thicken it at the top and bottom of your lip if you wish.

Apply your pale colour to the middle of your lips that do not have the darker lip liner on them. Press your lips together once or twice but do not smear the colours together by rubbing your lips side to side or back and forth. Simply press your lips together and pull apart again in one smooth motion.

At this stage you can use your lip brush or cotton bud to blend the edges of your colours together to create a fading effect.

How to start your makeup application?

Foundation first or eye makeup?

As you are checking the You Tube videos you will see so many different makeup application techniques and definitely you will be confused.

makeup steps

We are here to help you sorting out this confusion.

So lets see the makeup steps:
  1. Make sure your face is clean, the makeup will look much better on a clean skin than to add some makeup on to the existing makeup.
  2. Use a toner, the toner cleans up your skin perfectly, refreshing it and closing the pores, basically preparing your skin for the makeup application.
  3. Moisturise, especially if you have a dry skin!
  4. Depending on a foundation type apply primer. The primer will  prepare your skin for a foundation and will make your makeup lasting longer.
  5. Apply foundation, all over the face, eyelids, under the eyes, blend it to the neck area also.
  6. When is the foundation perfect? When you can’t see it because none wants to see the foundation just the flawless skin, forget about the caked up, mask effect foundation! That is out of trend for a long time.

7. Correct the skin imperfections. Most of the time we are mixing up the correctors with concealers. The correctors are in colours (yellow, peach, green and orange) and are useful in correcting the dislocations on  our face.

8.Then conceal it! Because of the concealers your skin will be green or orange depends what colours are you applying you have to conceal  it. That means the concealers are skin colours.

9.Contour and highlight and of course blend it!

10.Set your base with a translucent powder

11.Start with your eyebrows in this case you can make sure that you won’t miss any part of your face

12.Apply the eye makeup

13. Blusher

Now you have a question why in this order?

There is a logical explanation for this.

When you start with a foundation you do 60% of the job and you will have a flawless canvas to work on. All the eyeshadow colours will show much better on the already corrected skin. Even if you do a smokey look or working with dark colours you can easily avoid the fall outs by applying translucent powder under the eye area before starting with eye makeup.

This technique is faster and more efficient all you need is to practice
