The Lipstick makeup Institute life

The Lipstick makeup Institute life

The Lipstick makeup Institute life I know it’s a bit long overdue but The Lipstick Makeup Institute would love to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

However, with 2019 gone and a new decade has come, we’d like to know how have you been? How did you spend your time during the holidays?

Did you went away for a vacation? Did you stay in Dubai to celebrate with your family? Or did you decide on taking that using that period to learn something new – perhaps a new skill?

With all that’s happening in Dubai nowadays, we see a lot of different makeup schools popping up the past 2 years.

Makeup is more than just a routine; it’s a way to express yourself. Whether you’re starting your day or heading out for a night, makeup can make a big difference in how you feel. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about feeling confident and ready to take on the world.

SeqSequence of Makeup

First, makeup lets you highlight your best features. A bit of foundation evens out your skin, giving you a smooth base to work with.

Then, adding a touch of blush can bring warmth to your cheeks. Moreover, a swipe of mascara makes your eyes pop, making you look more awake and alert.

Furthermore, makeup is an art. With the right tools, you can create a look that’s unique to you. Whether you prefer a natural look or something bold, makeup allows you to play with colors, shapes, and textures. This creativity is what makes makeup so fun and exciting.

In addition, makeup can change how others see you. A strong lip color can give the impression of power and confidence, while softer tones might make you appear more approachable. These little changes can have a big impact on how you’re perceived in social or professional settings.

Lastly, makeup is about self-care. Taking a few minutes each day to focus on yourself can be calming. It’s a small routine that can boost your mood and set a positive tone for the rest of the day.

In conclusion, makeup is not just about beauty; it’s about confidence, creativity, and self-care. It’s a tool that helps you express who you are and how you want to be seen. So, embrace it and enjoy the great life that comes with makeup.

WKND KHALEEJ TIMES MAGAZINE INTERVIEW

WKND KHALEEJ TIMES MAGAZINE INTERVIEW

WKND KHALEEJ TIMES MAGAZINE INTERVIEW because we were honoured to be choosen by the khaleej times magazine to interview the lipstick makeup institute.

In their next coming episode about the no makeup look which is a new makeup trend  taking media and everyone by  storm  .

However, our makeup artist explained  on our lovely model in a live tutorial  how to achieve a no makeup look.

All in all, this is  actually harder than it looks. Its simple but complicated as its not easy to make your makeup invisible  because you have to choose the exact right colours.

As long as you   work for your skin tone  and to appear with a natural gorgeous skin , eyelids  , long eyelashes , pink cheecks and sun kissed glow skin.

Getting Great Skin tones

Firstly, the look seems effortless. Trying to look natural is more difficult than it appears.

However, this is actually becoming very popular with our clients. It’s had had a sudden shift from serious contouring and very pronounced features to simple looks.

Secondly, Its really lovely to see that people are opting for back to basics rather than the really heavy trend that has ben in for a while now.

Thirdly,  strong eyebrows are kind of fading out too.

The very dark, structured eyebrows are becoming softer. The fresh, no effort, nude make up look is finally come back.

Lastly, the little blush like a summers day is back!  Yippee!!

So cool that the guys at Al Khaleej are recognising the trend.

At any rates, as with all the people that cement the studio of our sister company, YH Studios DXB they are asking for the simple make up look. It’s a trend that I really love as it make the photographs.

We have worked with so many amazing people. CNN Arabia, Dubai TV, Al Kharama TV, Rotana TV, Help Magazine, OK Magazine and so many more. Feel very blessed!!

I guess our hard work and dedication really do pay off. There is no one who could say otherwise.

Foundation Hacks

Foundation Hacks

Foundation Hacks
Platinum Course

Foundation is a total game changer, and possibly one of THE most integral parts of any beauty look. If the shade is off or the blending isn’t on point, it can ruin the whole look.
Achieving flawless foundation is also a major skill and there’s a lot of room for error – even the most seasoned pro can have a day where their foundation just does not behave!

Remember, the aim is always to achieve incredible, healthy-looking skin not great foundation, and that’s what we’re going to help you do with these epic hacks and tips.

Makeup Diploma

Here are our ride-or-die foundation hacks that never let us down.

1. For Flawless Skin: Prep is Key

Flawless makeup always starts with a great, hydrating skincare regime. The reality is, the better hydrated your skin is, the less likely your makeup will look cakey.

2. To Avoid a Cakey or Patchy Look: Exfoliate First

Beautiful, glowing skin is our number one goal RN, and the easiest way to achieve a radiant glow is by exfoliating before makeup application. Without regular exfoliation, your foundation runs the risk of looking cakey or patchy, as it clings to dry skin and texture.

3. To Find the Right Foundation: Always Read the Label

It might sound obvious, but you should always read the label before purchasing a new product, especially a new foundation.

4. For the Ultimate Shade Match: Buy Two Foundations

If a foundation you love doesn’t have the perfect shade match for you, buy a foundation that’s one shade lighter than your skin tone and one that’s slightly darker, then combine the two. While we know this is a more expensive option, it does just mean that both formulas will last longer

5. For the Perfect Shade: Figure out Your Undertone

Finding the right undertone is key to shade matching like a pro-MUA. There are three key undertones: warm (golden, red, and yellow undertones), cool (beige and pink undertones), and neutral (a balance of gold and pink undertones). Your undertone, look at the veins on the inside of your wrist; if they’re green, you have a warm undertone (the yellow in your skin acts as a filter and makes your blue veins look green), and if they look blue, you have a cool undertone. Neutral undertones will see a combo of green and blue veins.

Setting Powder Tips

Setting Powder Tips

Powder to Bake

Baking is one of our all-time fave makeup hacks. It involves applying a thick layer of loose setting powder on top of your cream complexion products. It’s typically done to brighten the undereye, but you can also bake your chin, nasolabial folds, and the center of your forehead to set your makeup – basically, any areas of your face where makeup tends to crease or is prone to oiliness.

How to Bake: Dab a heavy layer of a loose setting powder onto areas you want to bake using a damp makeup sponge or powder puff. Allow the baking powder to sit on your skin for three to five minutes, then sweep off the excess with a loose fluffy brush.

Setting Powder Tips

Use Setting Powder to Snatch

Now we’ve covered the baking basics, here’s the real baking tea. If you’re a TikToker, you’ll know what’s up *wink wink.* When placed strategically, a loose setting powder (in your brightening shade) can also be used to snatch the natural contours of your face for a more sculpted, lifted final look that lasts day to night. Literally, you don’t even need to contour!

Setting Powder Tips

First, apply your brightening concealer shade to the inner and outer corners of your undereye, and for an extra snatch, from the outer corner of your mouth in a line under your cheekbone. Once you’ve blended out your concealer, pack on your loose-setting powder using a damp sponge or powder puff. Wait three to five minutes, then dust off the excess powder using a fluffy brush

Control Oil With Setting Powder

If you have oily or combination skin and are prone to midday shine, setting powder will be your BFFL. Simply grab a loose or pressed powder and a large fluffy brush and dust your entire beat with a light coating of powder.

Use Powder To Set Your Undereyes

Rather than baking, you can use setting powder to set your undereyes lightly. Dip a small round, medium-fluffy brush in powder, and lightly press the brush into your undereye. This will prevent creasing, brighten, and set, and complements a no-makeup makeup look more effortlessly.

Use Setting Powder on Your Lids

If you find your eyeshadow, or any other cream products on your lid, are prone to creasing, setting powder will (as per) save the day. All you need to do is take a small fluffy brush and dust your entire lid with setting powder after using cream products and before applying your eyeshadow.

Use Setting Powder on Your Pout

After applying matte lipstick, use a densely-packed flat brush, pack the translucent powder onto your lips, leave it to set for three to five minutes, then dust off the remaining powder. Finish by adding one final layer of color by dabbing the lip with lipstick

Eyeshadow Tips

Eyeshadow Tips

The thing is, perfecting your eyeshadow game requires dedication, practice, and patience. You’ve got to pack on the pigment, buff and blend, be mindful of fallout, and ensure the color pops, all while working that trend or shadow style to suit your unique eye shape. Luckily for you, we have all the answers, hacks, and pro tips to perfect your eyeshadow.

Eyeshadow Tips

Eyeshadow Tip #1: Prep and Prime

Before you even pick up your blending brush, you need to prime and prep your lid to ensure that the color is even, it stays on all day long without creasing.

Apply an eyeshadow primer: There are now tons of eyeshadow primers on the market that act as the perfect canvas for eyeshadow application while maximizing the staying power

Bake your lid: If you have oily lids, your eyeshadow is more likely to settle into your creases and look patchy throughout the day. To avoid this, dust a light layer of translucent setting powder

Make that pigment pop: If you love to experiment with bright eyeshadows, to guarantee the color looks just as vibrant as it does in the pan, apply a white base to your lid using a light-colored concealer or a white eyeshadow

Eyeshadow Tip #2: Choosing Your Eyeshadow

Speaking of pigment payoff, it often comes at a cost – fallout, but that’s a small price to pay for intense color!

Eyeshadow Tip #3: Consider Your Eye Color

When choosing an eyeshadow hue, we love to experiment and have fun with trends. However, there are shades that we know bring out the colors of our eyes and really make them pop. Seriously, try it and wait for the compliments to roll in.

Eyeshadow Tip #1: Know Your Eye Shape

Getting to know your eye shape is essential when you’re trying to elevate your makeup game. Of course, there’s no “one-size-fits-all” with makeup, but knowing what typically complements your eye shape can seriously level up the final look.

for hooded eyes, there’s typically less eyelid space to play with, so blending shadows up and outwards gives more depth to the lid space. Similarly, to elongate round eyes, you can play with dramatic wing styles to switch up your look.

Eyeshadow Tip #2: Perfect Your Blending Technique

Now that you have the tools, you need to level up your blending technique. Here are our top tips:

Mix eyeshadows: Don’t be afraid to mix and match eyeshadows on your brush to create a more harmonious look. Make sure you tap off any excess pigment before applying it to your lid to reduce fallout.

Pat, then blend: To create an even base, use a dense brush and pack the product onto the lid by gently pressing the powder onto the skin. Then blend it out using back-and-forth motions (think: windshield wipers).

Blend outwards: To lift the eye, drag the eyeshadow outwards, up towards the tail of the brow. This will create a subtle cat-eye effect, even without a winged liner.

Eyeshadow Tip #3: Don’t Forget the Lower Lash Line

A little eyeshadow on the outer corner of the lower lash line goes a long way. For an everyday look, use softer hues, like a soft brown, then opt for a deeper shade for a more dramatic look. Apply the shadow using a small dense brush, then blend out using a slightly larger, fluffier brush. You can also tight-line your lower lash line with a beige eyeliner pencil (white can be too harsh) to create the illusion of bigger eyes.

Eyeshadow Tip #4: Contour Your Lids with Eyeshadow

Regardless of the look you’re going for – from a natural look to a smokey eye – always define your crease by contouring your lid. You’ll add depth and definition to the eye by simply creating the illusion of a shadow in your crease. Start by taking an eyeshadow two to three shades deeper than your skin tone. Your bronzer shade will work perfectly. Pro tip: The secret is slowly building up the eyeshadow with a soft fluffy brush, using a back-and-forth motion.

Day 2

Look 1
Designer: Next Generation

Welcome to the dark side with New Generations latest collection. With a gothic look to match their beautiful dark stain clothing,  make up by illamasqua to create this look.

We had a light base of foundation to give the clear clean skin look, very light contour just to highlight the cheek bones. On the eyes we used a sliver shimmer to the inner corner of the eyes, taking this to the base of the eyelid, up to the brow bone and gradually taking a darker shade in the eye crease for a bit of contouring, we also took the sliver shimmer under the eye and one light coat of mascara only of the top lashes.
For the lips we took a deep purple to finish off the gothic look.

Look 2
Designer: Jeans Couture

With Jeans Couture funky edgy style we took peach and bronze tones to the eyes.  On the lids we used a peachy bronze across the whole lid, we used a darker tone to bring the colour up to the brows. One coat of mascara on the top lashes. We kept the bottom lash line mascara free with a light sweep of peach pigment. For the lips we had a beautiful plum colour to compliment the bright eyes.  For the cheekbones we took a shade of rouge to match the lip colour.  The base was a matte clean finish.

Arab Fashion Week Day 2

Arab Fashion Week Day 2

Look 3
Designer: Laquan Smith

With deep shades of red, black latex and sexy thigh high boots for this collection, we went for the oh so seductive look.

We had to get the make up done before the gorgeous models got their hair done so we had no time to lose. The look was very similar to Jeans Couture. We change the eyes slightly making the colours more pinks rather than bronze, we blended the shade more and didn’t take it as high as the brow bone, using the same technique  to sweep slight pink pigment along the bottom lash line. With the lips we chose a slightly less blue undertone for a lighter shade.  We contoured the cheeks more and high

Arab Fashion Week Day 2

Look 4
Designer: Laura Macini

Laura Macini create a beautiful Egyptian look for her beautiful evening gowns.

We bronzed the base up a bit for this look, contouring and highlighting the cheekbones and forehead.  We kept the eyelid clean from colour using vaseline to create a beau tile sheen, used liquid liner on both the top and bottom lash line to elongate the eyes. For the lips we took  a light blush shade to finish off the look.

Arab Fashion Week Day 2

Look 5
Designer: Ilse Jara

A complete eye change for this look compared to Laura Macini. Eyeliner came off and the gold was packed on. We kept the base very light and clean with just a very slight bronze for a cheekbone contour but the  main focus was the eyes. We smashed heavy gold pigment from the top lashliene to the brows, smudging some vaseline on the lids as well for extra sheen.  Lips we took pinky nude colour and kept lips matte.  The hair stylist finished the look off by sweeping the hair back off the models face, this look is amazing on the catwalk as all the lights really shows the gold on the models eyes.

Skin for Ultimate Makeup Base

Skin for Ultimate Makeup Base

Skin for Ultimate Makeup Base

The bottom line is, your beat will never be its best without prepping your skin first. It’s just a fact. If you skip these two essential steps, your makeup is more likely to settle into fine lines or collect in dry and flakey areas rather than be perfectly smooth. It also helps your makeup stay in place for longer.

Step 1: Exfoliation is key, as this will help create a smooth canvas for makeup application and melt away any dead skin while leaving your skin brighter than before. Of course, as it’s formulated with papaya and pineapple enzymes that remove dead skin while amping up your glow game. We’re obsessed.

Step 2: The next step is hydration. Start with a plumping serum. For the under eye area, we love using the Eye Lift and Contour Peptide Serum, as it’s super lightweight and hydrating, but it also firms the lids and under eye area for a smooth finish. Then, we seal in all that glazed hydration with the Moisturizer, as it’s formulated with nourishing manuka honey and restorative peptides to plump and protect. It sounds simple, but it’s one of those make-or-break steps.

Applying False Eye Lashes

Applying False Eye Lashes

Applying False Eye Lashes

When it comes to makeup for your most important events whether it’s a day you spend with your loved ones or a day at your job which involves looking your best or festive occasions, no make up look is at its best without getting your eyes glammed up. So you want your eyes to look bigger, intense, youthful & beautiful.

What better way than to apply false eye lashes to give these qualities to your eyes. So, It’s no big secret that your favourite look of celebrities with her beautiful eyes or the best makeup looks from experts on media more often than not compliment their makeup with a usage of False Eye Lashes.

How to Apply

When you apply false eye lashes to your natural lashes, not only they blend very easily with your natural lashes but they also give volume and length.

When applied in a right way these completely change your eyes to look more beautiful, well defined & youthful. So let the experts at first foundation pro help you learn the expert tricks and tips to do the best false eye lashes you always wanted.

Hold your eyelash curler for 30 seconds to keep that nice curl. Well curled eyelashes act as a good base for placing the false eye lashes.

once you curl, apply mascara to your natural lash only. We recommend not to use mascara on false lashes as it tends to lose natural look. As there is less or no product used on false lashes they are in better condition if you are planning to reuse them.

Reusability Tip :

As eyes are sensitive we do not recommend prolonged/ too much repeated use of contaminated products.

However,

Washing the entire lashes with too hot water can damage them and cannot be reused.

Try placing the false lashes starting with one eye from a comfortable position looking into the mirror.

Start pressing in the middle gently and also on the corners, hold the corners for slightly longer. Repeat for other eye.
