My name is Zouha Dalloul and this is the story of my journey from student to teacher: In June 2017, I signed up to join The Platinum Media Makeup course and The Lipstick Makeup Institute as a student.

As a student in the course I got to learn everything from A-Z about makeup artistry. From creative makeup, to glamorous beauty looks, to natural barely there looks and even special effects!

Creative makeup was the most fun for me, I had the chance to use my imagination and artistry skills and showcase some very exciting looks like a glittery unicorn, feathery bird and many more.

Beauty make up was filled with glamour. I was taught but how to portray a natural face, and day make up too, which works hand in hand with photography as well. Glamorous evening makeup as well also Bridal makeup was definitely an exciting adventure! I am able to use these skills daily in my career as a freelancer on my clients, as it is the most popular & requested look.

Beautiful dresses, beautiful make up! what more could a gal want.  To match these stunning dresses we took two stunning tones of hot and pale pink to create this look. For the base we used a light base of foundation, no bronzers for this look, we let the pink do all the talking. We took a rose colour to the cheeks and lips but it was really the eyes that stood out.  Sweeping the hot pink across the whole eye lid and bleeding it to the eye crease line, here we took a softer more pastel pink tone to blend to just under the brow bone. To finish the eye we took illamasqua eyeliner and a classic wing look.

Hi!!! My name is Olga, Im new to The  Lipstick make up institute, All in all its unbelievable place where is mixing  class and professionalism. I

Additionally, i’m in Dubai for 7years, working in a beauty industry as a make up artist.  However,  its first time I can see such a well done work, where photography and make up complete which other becoming just a real Art!

As a matter of fact all the photographs made in a YH photo studio , by Yasmin Hussain . Yasmin  is an owner and managing director of both, studio and institute.

Firstly, It’s a really great experience in a Lipstick make up institute , all the students having a model, to train themselves.

 Secondly, after make up is done , there is professional photo shoot of make up look, which is going to their portfolio later.  All in all it’s a really unique practice.

Above all, it helps to a beginner make up artist feel the atmosphere of professional  beauty industry where they are going to work after finishing the make up institute courses .

 Thirdly,  the photo shoots happens not only in a studio.., but outside as well.. Even more, I hade a lovely experience last week.

Lastly, Yasmin took me and one of our student with her for a photo shoot on the beach. It was unforgettable day, cause shoot was with a horses.

 By and large, they was swimming in a sea wavy water, and behind is sun set…. Amazing picture .., never see such a beauty before.

It’s quite normal for most lipsticks to wear off within a few hours of you stepping out of the house. So, obviously the next question in your mind will be – how to make last longer? Here are some hacks and a step-by-step guide for you to follow in order to make your lipstick last longer.

1. Exfoliate your lips

Exfoliating your lips is the first step towards taking care of your lips and making your lipstick last longer. This is the most basic  hack that will help you get rid of any dead skin cells accumulated on your lips. This will also give you a smooth base. Use a lip scrub and massage your lips gently and rinse it off.

2. Hydrate your lips

Moisturised and hydrated lips ensure that your lipsticks glide smoothly and also last longer. Hydrated lips hold your lipstick better unlike dry lips, which easily flake off. Apply a lip balm few minutes before applying your lipstick. Use this lipstick hack especially before using a matte liquid lipstick as dried and dehydrated lips will not hold this lipstick for a longer time, and also make your lips look cracked and creased.

3. Use your concealer as a lip primer

This may seem like an unusual hack but applying a concealer as a lip primer does wonders. Use a concealer to draw a line around the corners of your lips. It works as a lip primer, preventing any spills or smudging around the edges. Your lipstick will last longer if there is less edge bleeding.

4. Always use a brush to apply 

Applying a with a brush helps you control the amount of  you want to apply on your lips. You can distribute the evenly without having any product build-up. 5. Blot and powder your lips

This is yet another amazing lipstick hack you should definitely try if you haven’t already. Blot your lips with a tissue after applying your lipstick, and then apply a light layer of translucent powder. This makes the lipstick last longer and helps set it. If you like liquid lipsticks, apply it as usual, let it dry for a while and then use this hack.

In their next coming episode about the no makeup look which is a new makeup trend  taking media and everyone by  storm  .

However, our makeup artist explained  on our lovely model in a live tutorial  how to achieve a no makeup look.

All in all, this is  actually harder than it looks. Its simple but complicated as its not easy to make your makeup invisible  because you have to choose the exact right colours.

As long as you   work for your skin tone  and to appear with a natural gorgeous skin , eyelids  , long eyelashes , pink cheecks and sun kissed glow skin.

Firstly, the look seems effortless. Trying to look natural is more difficult than it appears.

However, this is actually becoming very popular with our clients. It’s had had a sudden shift from serious contouring and very pronounced features to simple looks.

Secondly, Its really lovely to see that people are opting for back to basics rather than the really heavy trend that has ben in for a while now.

Thirdly,  strong eyebrows are kind of fading out too.

The very dark, structured eyebrows are becoming softer. The fresh, no effort, nude make up look is finally come back.

Lastly, the little blush like a summers day is back!  Yippee!!

1. For Flawless Skin: Prep is Key

Flawless makeup always starts with a great, hydrating skincare regime. The reality is, the better hydrated your skin is, the less likely your makeup will look cakey.

 

2. To Avoid a Cakey or Patchy Look: Exfoliate First

Beautiful, glowing skin is our number one goal RN, and the easiest way to achieve a radiant glow is by exfoliating before makeup application. Without regular exfoliation, your foundation runs the risk of looking cakey or patchy, as it clings to dry skin and texture. 

 

3. To Find the Right Foundation: Always Read the Label

It might sound obvious, but you should always read the label before purchasing a new product, especially a new foundation.

4. For the Ultimate Shade Match: Buy Two Foundations

If a foundation you love doesn’t have the perfect shade match for you, buy a foundation that’s one shade lighter than your skin tone and one that’s slightly darker, then combine the two. While we know this is a more expensive option, it does just mean that both formulas will last longer

5. For the Perfect Shade: Figure out Your Undertone

Finding the right undertone is key to shade matching like a pro-MUA. There are three key undertones: warm (golden, red, and yellow undertones), cool (beige and pink undertones), and neutral (a balance of gold and pink undertones). Your undertone, look at the veins on the inside of your wrist; if they’re green, you have a warm undertone (the yellow in your skin acts as a filter and makes your blue veins look green), and if they look blue, you have a cool undertone. Neutral undertones will see a combo of green and blue veins.
