Working in a fashion show keeps you up to date with the latest beauty trends and whats the hottest new looks. You could be the most experience MakeUp artist but you will always learn new tricks backstage that you can bring home, this will make you very popular with your girlfriends.

Arab Fashion Week was held between 5 days. We will take you through each day with all the looks changes and show you some fantastic pictures we managed to get in whist our team worked their magic.

Teaching Experience

It has really been an amazing week and i would like to thank the one who gave me this wonderful chance to achive one of my dreams .

Thank you Yasmin Hussain owner and managing director at The Lipstick Makeup Institute and YH Studios. I have had an absolutely amazing oportunity for being a makeup educator in such an amazing place. Its like working in a makeup and fashion castle. Everything around you starting with the place loctation , name , decorations , furniture , stuff , music , students , makeup , photoshoots all day> The main attribute of course her passion and love to her work which is in the air and you can feel it as soon as you enter this gorgeous place .

I will talk about my experience in teaching two different makeup courses. On this blog I will talk about The Bronze Bridal Makeup Course and my next blog I will talk about The Silver Creative Makeup Course. tips and some makeup applications secrets too. They completely rose to the challenges I set.

Bronze Bridal Makeup Course

The Bronze Bridal Makeup Course ( European , Arabic and Indian ) i have been through all the steps and details with my lovely student and explained to her the difference between every bridal look and how to prepare the bride for her big day and of course practicing every look on a model so she can learn how to correct and define her mistakes to achieve her final look by using the wonderful kryolan makeup products .

First Day of Arab Fashion Week

What a great start to Arab Fashion Week, The lipstick Make up Teams are showing Dubai just how good they are. We have such great support. Brown Sugar Hair Salon, Wisam Nour Hair Salon are our amazing partners.

We are so grateful that we all come together and work like dream teams.

We are always so proud that students travel across the globe to choose our make up institute over any other to to teach them the skills that they need to advance them into the world of Make Up.

I am always flattered when I ask them, How did you find us”? and they say that they google, “Make Up Schools in Dubai” and they looked at what all the schools had to offer and they like the look of our website, our testimonials, the work that we do and they see what the students are achieving and we are far ahead of any other make up institute. It means that we have done our job well.

Its not just a business but its our life and we just love it.

I advertised for a “teacher” and one applicant sent me face cards, I couldn’t understand this at all. Unreal.

I have been a photographer for 28 years so I really do know the value of a portfolio and thats why when we were comprising the courses it was imperative that we incorporated professional photographs for the students portfolios.

I attended the three days Dubai zombie challenge that took place in wonderland, Dubai from 7^th till 9^th of April 2016

The event was organised and supervised by the famous French Le Manoir de Paris, they are specialised in makeup and special effects.

There were 2 amazing ladies Laura and Dalila they were responsible for the clients that wants to change into zombies, they took good care of them with smiles and love from the entrance till the makeup room, and they also were supervising the whole event.

They also decide that we rotate every day so that we all get to learn everything in the process,

Smokey eyes and red lips??? 10 years ago we would say oh no, you can’t have Smokey eyes with Red lips on. There was a rule before in makeup that if you are working with dark colours on your eyes the lips will be light and if you have a bold lipstick on you will go light with eyes.

Ladies we can tell you its not the case anymore. One of the main style of the glamorous makeup is strong eyes and strong lips. If you know how to wear it and its clean and well blended just go for it.

On this picture we are showing a perfect example of this look black and brown smokey eyes with red lips. She looks gorgeous, classy and glamorous.
