Dubai Modest Fashion Week

We are all really please to be asked to participate in the Dubai modest  Fashion Week.

Its an amazing event. The first time to be held in the UAE to be held here. It has ben showcased in London, Istanbul and New York, sop not such a small event.

It was influcted  with influencers, bloggers and amazing designers. It is the first time that The Lipstick Make Up Institute has been involved in a fashion Show with predominantly hijabs.

The models looked just so beautiful and elegant in the Beautiful designs all ver elegant for Dubais Modest Fashion Week.

There were so many designers that came to Dubai just for this event from all over the world.

As usual, The Lipstick Make Up Institute Teams just love Fashion Shows. We thrive on the adrenalin and the rush of the exciting challenges that the days bring. We love the pressure and th dramatic changes from designer to designer.

This time though there were not too may changes as it the Title of the Show says, The Modern Fashion Show! so hence the makeup had also to be minimalistic and not so pronounced. Delicate and flawless makeup was the dominant feature of the shows. This was so not to take anything away from the designers and the clothes.

I never knew that there so many ways to wear a hijab and look so cool. The clothes were very , ” now” and so  in with fashion, we were all so impressed. The fashion world is complimenting each continent and blending from East to west and north to south and the results of this are shown on the runway.

We just can’t wait for the next Fashion Show. This is the season of events and the teams are all busy bees.

Next week The Lipstick Make Up institute Teams are celebrating on a yacht party together as a great ending to the year. We can sail and watch the sunset together on The Palm Jumeirah.

Cannot wait. Congratulations to Everyone!!!!

COURCELLES Kids Fashion Show

The Lipstick Makeup Institute Team is really excited to be working together and to be part of such event. Held at Dubai Ladies Club on Saturday 5th  November.

The Beautiful kids wore all the designer labels. Boss Hugo Boss, Chloe , Little Marc Jacobs , Karl Lagerfeld Kids, DKNY and Billyblush

These are just some of the luxury fashion brands represented by the cuttest kids of different countries.

The little beauties loved it and were so excited.They were not afraid at a ll. I was so proud of them. One or two had a little moment but soon got over it.

There were lots of activities for them to keep them amused too. There were nail painting, games slides etc. There was also complimentary food such as burgers, hot dogs, chips. There was even deserts crepes, popcorn , candy floss and ice creams. Not only for the children but for all the parents too.

The Events company #mo4network did an amazing job of organising the whole event and bringing it all together. 

It was our pleasure and enjoying every single minute of them doing their Rosey cheeks.  blushes, powder and lip gloss The hair that all gorgeous thick and curly, it was amazing styling them while the kids talking and asking so much questions, as kids do. If I could do a fashion Show like this every week, I would love it. Such a pleasure to work not only with the kids but the parents too. Its so lovely to see everyone happy and pulling together. It also gives The Lipstick make Up team more experience in every genre. We want to do every event in Dubai that we can. We just love it. Make Up is not just about being am make up institute and teaching  but getting involved in all these different diverse events, its fun!

Spooky Halloween here at YH Studios and The Lipstick Makeup Institute

Its that time of year again, halloween is nearly upon us!

I got the girls to get the stage make up out and get practising their spooky skills as we have many bookings over this crazy period that we love. Its different, fun and ever so creative.

We have many projects going on. My team are working at Billionaire Mansion which is in Touch Hotel this week too making the staff look spooky and creating a fun atmosphere in the Club.

There is no pattens really with Halloween make up unless you want something specific. You can just get a face and let your hands and mind start wondering! Thats the fun in it.

Look here is a ghost at my desk ha!!

Arab Fashion Week Final Day

I just have to share these images with you from Arab Fashion Week Final day. It was so amazing. The models, The Lipstick make Up Institute Teams were just on fire as were the Lipstick Hair Teams.

Just a team effort. Its amazing the amount of people that come together and support each other and help one another.

Have a look at the photographs. behind The scenes are always the best. Backstage is where all the action takes place.

The Lipstick Make Up Institute is fast becoming in demand as is getting known because of our dedication. Hard work and commitment to our clients for being one of the best if not the best make Up Institute in Dubai. We work hard for this title though. Pure work but to be truthful it does not feel like work at all as its just what we love to do.

This is our motto on the wall, ” Love What you do and do what you love”. Thats the slogan we all live by and as I say to everyone the day I stop loving it is the day that I will stop. Pack my bags and retreat to a far away island, open a bar, get a little boat to pull clients on water skis. Have a little tapas restaurant attached with a a Spanish/ Pakistani/ Irish twist!. I am half Pakistani and half Irish and tapas originates from Spain Thats where all the fusion come together.

 

Thats my dream and believe me one day I will do it but right  now I am loving my life just too much but one day not too far away.

 

“Time to Chill” will be my new slogan to live my life by.

Lipstick 1st Year anniversary Party

Well we survived the first year with flying colours. We have been involved in so many events. Fashion Shows. Courses. Photoshoots. The list is endless.

We invited a few selected friends to join in our celebrations of winning the Eurasian World Championships, celebrate the MD’s, Yasmin Hussain Birthday and also for completing The Week at Arab Fashion week.

Day 4 of Arab Fashion Week

Another amazing, crazy busy day at Meydan Hotel. We are the major Sponsors of Arab Fashion week for the hair, make up and nails.

I am blown away by the camaraderie, support and respect everyone has for each other.

These events are something special that everyone just loves to be involved in, including me. Sometimes it make you crazy as the pressure and timings are sometimes unrealistic but its fun and exciting!

People respond better under pressure. What does not break us makes us stronger.

Creative UV Makeup Training Day for All The Lipstick Teams

“We love what we do and do what we love”

Thats Our Motto and we stick to it!

And the most we love is to create yet unseen looks and concepts in makeup and showcase it to all of you.

Yesterday was a Creative makeup training day in our Institute for The Lipstick Team.

We love our team and they deserve the best training.

We were presenting 2 completely different looks:

  1. Avant-garde makeup

2. Fantasy makeup – body painting with UV Glow colours

 

About the Avant-garde style

The term avant-garde refers to innovative or experimental concepts or works, or the group of people producing them. Pushing boundaries with the  development of Cubism, Pablo Picasso was part of the early 20th-century art world’s avant-garde. He in fact Personifies this style!

So we were pushing our boundaries and combined loads of different makeup application techniques in our Creative Make Up day.

Of course as always we were using Kryolan products so much glitters, gellafix, crushed mirror, sequences, crystals, Supracolors in colours, Aquacolors and glitter powders and pure colour pigments.

Our concept was to create something different and special.

Inspired by high fashion and fantasy looks, to create an aqua, watery impression followed by glow and shine.

Our models final look is really impressive, different and extraordinary but still she looks beautiful and feminine.

Fantasy look with UV glow colours

Our another look was inspired by the fantastic Galaxy.

This is how we created the, “Galactical Princess” Look, Sparkly and bright.

Handmade skirt, painted top and collar were the main contents of this look.

It was a real fun look to work on Our Lipstick Teams were fascinated as they had never been involved in anything like this before. A complete transformation before their eyes.

I was applying the UV colours in the dark under the UV light with the whole team watching it.

Of course it was a bit challenging but that was the most interesting part in it.

For the whole look we were using Kryolan products.

Kryolan UV glow aqua colors, UV glow eyeshadows and Hair spray and a free hand to draw some funky lines and splash the colours all over the models body.

We really enjoyed creating the look and looking forward to the next project.

Training time with the best Institute in Dubai

 

I would like to share my first ever training that I attended in Dubai. My motivation to attend the training organised by The Lipstick Make up Institute and the YH Studios Dubai by Yasmin Hussain last June 2016.

The training theme is of special relevance to my professional goals and career objectives, and therefore I really appreciate the opportunity given to me to attend this training together with my professional co makeup artist.

I enjoyed  every part of it, especially the creative makeup done by Livia Rideg the Eurasia World Champion Make up artist and the master of makeup.

And I’m very honour to work with the best.Her expertise in the makeup industry I find it a very motivational and inspiring to me.

I always keep in mind;

  • If you want to be a makeup artist only for fame, then this career is not for you
  • Makeup artistry is an art and you’ll need lots of practice to improve your skills; you’ll never finish learning.
  • Practicing on models with different face types, eye shapes, and skin tones will improve your skills

Do’s and don’t in daytime makeup

 

Hi everyone!Here we are again to teach you on what is the best do wear and not in daytime makeup.

Do’s

*do use a foundation that matches your skin tone exactly

*do softer colour for the lower lash line.Lining all the way around   your eye in blacks an extreme look that’s best saved for nighttime.

*do use matte eyeshadows

*soft peachy and soft orange shade blusher

*dry contouring

*light fresh color lipstick

Don’t

*no to heavy eyeliner

*not too much contouring

TIP: Keep it simple and less and more.
