What a great pool shoot with Lara Tabet Amazing Pool Shoot with a beach body to die for! Hi Guys I'm Chaliya the new head makeup artist here at The Lipstick Makeup Institute. Im British from the UK, I have lived in Dubai for 4 years. I have a huge passion for make up. I previously worked for Mac Cosmetics in Dubai & London Harrods, which was what influenced me to become a makeup educator. "Its a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together" I love being able to pass on my knowledge of makeup to the students & watch them develop into great makeup artists. I am teaching master classes with the students, where they get to learn all aspects of makeup from beauty to special effects. This is when they can really show their talents. Their imaginations can run wild. We have many courses for beginners who have no experience in makeup. We teach them everything they need to know. My 1st out of studio shoot was an amazing experience. In an amazing location in City Walk Dubai. Working with the sand & water between your toes, out in the sun what more could you want! Lara looking beautiful in her glamours bikinis. Amazing Views with the Burj Khalifa. Beautiful Sunset in the distance. Dubai is such a magical place for a photo shoot, with the beach views, amazing tall buildings Applying makeup touch ups when needed. So much fun can't wait for the next beach shoot! Lets celebrate all the lovely Mums! The Lipstick Makeup Institute was a part of the Mothers Day makeup filming in Osh Kosh baby store. Your setup reflects you. Make sure that your makeup products and brushes are always clean and well organised. We took our students to experience the working on a location and in front of camera feeling of the Mothers Day makeup filming . Our students were responsible for a nice flawless and fresh makeup on these lovely ladies. The task was easy. The mothers got few questions to answer while our students are pampering them and making sure they look lovely and perfectly made up. In this case the perfectly made up means not over the top, nothing glamorous but just a touch of makeup what will make the face fresh, the skin flawless. The less is always more. This is the most important to memorise! Always work with the face and the features. Don't try to apply the same makeup style on every single face. We are all unique, we all have a different personality also different needs when it comes to makeup. What will suit to me won't suit you and to some other person. Our students are trained in that way to recognise the needs of different faces and features. Makeup is used to enhance the beauty and correct the small imperfections not to make you look like a different person. Todays makeup look was a Mothers Day makeup. Why is it different than the other makeup looks? Its very light as a base. On the eyes we were using beige, browns with a touch of highlight. Mascara of course is a must. On the cheeks we added a touch of peach-orange colour to give a refreshing effect for the face as some of our ladies didn't sleep much. On the lips a transparent lipgloss. Our students in action. Beautifying our lovely models. It was fun. We heard loads of stories about the funniest stories about their kids, the most important words they love to hear from their kids, and the everyday with 2 or 3 kids in the house. All these lovely ladies deserve loads of attention, love and pampering... not only when its Mothers Day... but every day!!

We are really honoured to be interviewed by the wknd khaleej times magazine. We gave a tutorial on achieving the no makeup look , The way we teach at The Lipstick Makeup Institute which is the trend now in Dubai and around the whole world . How to achieve this gorgeous look ? This is the question everyone into fashion and beauty is asking. Its not as easy as you think. The lipstick makeup institute expert gave a step by step beauty tutorial to answer all about this new makeup trend . Here is our tutorial steps and makeup tips to our beautiful ladies in dubai and the lipstick makeup institute lovers . Here are the STEPS below in print. 1 - cleansing , toning and moisturising which is the most important step . 2 - Its so important to find the perfect foundation for your skin tone. You can even blend another foundation lighter or darker to get an effortlessy natural glow. Our skin colour changes constantly. A bit of sun and we are a shade darker. We must compensate for this. 3 - You can blend the foundation well with a wet sponge or a brush. You must blend it in well though so its almost invisible. This is the sign of good foundation. 4 - You should contour under the cheekbone , jawline , chin, temples and nose. This will lightly to give defention to your features . 5 - apply correctors to even out the dark circles , then highlight the centre of chin , under eyes and top of cheekbones with a cream highlighter . 6 - in order to set the base use loose or translucent powder and blend it with a brush . this will ensure a matte finish . 7 - run a brush through your eyebrows and highlight with a shade that is at least three or four lighter than your eyeshadow . this is to give a gentle defention . 8 - apply an eyeshadow over your eyes . start with a lighter base and move on to a darker shade . 9 - take an angular brush dab it on a darker shade that complements the eyeshadow and apply it on top of your eyes , smudge it later with the brush ( you could avoid eyeliner completly ) . 10 - for mascaras you can choose to apply a combination one for length the other for volume . 11 - to give your lower eyeline just the right amount of definition apply a beige liner and for a night time look you could substitute with a white liner . 12 - for blush go for soft colours like peaches or oranges and for a night look you could use a bronzer or dark pinks depending on the lipstick you are wearing . 13 - apply a lipliner for lipstick , go for glossy ,understated colours in this case its rosy , brown avoid mattes . Its so easy once you know how and follow instructions. Long gone now are the days when we paste the make up and have rosy cheeks and seriously contoured cheekbones. Less is more as they say. Please have a look at the pictures below and see our gorgeous model, Clementine Harriett transformed. She is beautiful anyway but glows with our expert makeup and Kryolan make up.

The Lipstick Makeup Institute was at Oracle today and was doing a live demonstration about the importance of makeup. Before we went there to see all the lovely ladies we had to think of a few words to catch their attention. We had to let everyone know that we are The Best Make Up Institute in Dubai ha! This is what we thought of:
Why are we using makeup ? How to apply your makeup in 10 minutes? What are the most useful tricks for a quick and good makeup? All these questions were answered on our live demonstration. We started with a light daytime look discussing about choosing the right colour of foundation, application techniques, contours and highlights and setting the foundation. After this step we were giving a brief description about filling up and defining the eyebrows. Eye makeup - easy steps for a daytime application using all neutral colours Mascara application giving a final touch for the eyes How to apply the blusher and where to place it exactly, which colours are for the daytime look. Lipliner and lipstick application with a touch of a gloss was our finishing step on our lovely model. Now we gave a situation to our Ladies of usual everyday situation of no having time for makeup touchup for an evening time. We added a bit of drama on the eyes, cheeks and lips. Just in few steps you can easily transform your makeup from a daytime to a glamorous evening look. Try to concentrate on the eyebrows, eyes, cheeks and lips. Add more colour and more darker colour on the eyes, make the blusher stronger and add a darker lipstick on the lips its that easy to achieve an evening look. Don't forget to follow our blog and to contact us for makeup courses and makeup consultations. Tun in for our next addition. So we should call it the "Feel Good Factor”A woman’s mood can change in an instant if hey look good, they will fell good. If they feel good they will smile and radiate energy thats contagious and positive and can only be a great thing!Make up is a very important contributory factor to helping this.I will give young scenario. If a lady feels a little tired and has no make up on and she catches herself in the mirror, she will shy away an feel even worse than she looks and hence will have a lower tone on the phone and not project any positive vibes to clients or even friends. On the other side, if she has make up on and she catches herself in the mirror and she looks good! she will feel good and radiate that energy to potential clients giving positive vibes throughout the office and can only be good for self esteem and for business. So the solution is, to make the most out of yourself every day to feel good and this is also goof for your health, marriage and self esteem! You agree?

Our topic for today is all about highlighting!
You can learn what is the effect and how to apply
Before beginning your highlighting and contouring, you must first determine your face shape. Faces can be oval, rectangular, round, heart-shaped, oblong, diamond-shaped, or triangular (including inverted triangular). To determine your face shape, pull all of your hair back tightly and examine your face in the mirror, looking for the following attributes. A measuring tape may be used to measure the length and width of the face for a more precise determination. OVAL: Oval-shaped faces have a length equal to 1.5 times the width of the face, with forehead and jaw equal widths. RECTANGULAR: Rectangular faces are 1/3 longer than the width of the face and have strong angles on the forehead and at the jawline. ROUND: Round faces are as wide as they are long, but with soft, rounded edges. HEART-SHAPED: Heart-shaped faces have the most width at the cheek, eye, and forehead areas, with a narrow to pointy chin. Sometimes they will also have a high forehead. OBLONG: Oblong faces are as long as it is wide. Straight sides, a high forehead, and larger than average distance between the bottom of the lip and the tip of the chin are common attributes of the oblong face. DIAMOND-SHAPED: Diamond-shaped faces are characterized by a narrow forehead and a narrow chin with the widest point at the cheeks. TRIANGULAR (and INVERTED TRIANGULAR): Triangular faces are wide at the forehead and narrowest at the jawline; inverted triangular faces are widest at the jawline and narrowest at the forehead.Determining your face shape will help you decide where to place your highlights and contours and what features you’d like to define or downplay.
Highlighting certain features of the face can be super flattering for the spring time, if done properly. By illuminating specific areas of the face, you’re putting them in the spotlight, but don’t think taking a face powder with tons of shimmer and applying it all over will give you a flattering look. All good things must come in moderation (even glitter). When it comes to brightening any part of the skin, it’s always a good idea to stick with the “less is more” mindset. Features like cheek bones, under the brow and cupids bow, nose area, chin and forehead are all prime targets to apply some sort of illuminator. We put together every highlighter tip for your face, from where to put a brightener to which products you should be using. Take a look through the slideshow above to see some of our favorite celebrities exemplifying the highlighted.
Tip for the day: "Less is more"
