Institute Makeup around the world

 
Institute – In the past 5 years, makeup has exploded exponentially across the world. You can see more creativity from the effects of social media such as Youtube and Instagram. We see new brands popping up everyday trying to get involved in this industry.
 

Institute – We also see more people who want to get involved in the the makeup world as makeup artists. Some use Youtube as a tool to learn, some pay to go to different masterclasses, and some go to proper makeup institutes to jumpstart their career. 

 
In our institute, we’ve come across students who went to other schools and paid thousands of dirhams only to know that they didn’t learn anything. They don’t even know how to hold a brush properly. It’s really sad since they’ve paid so much money to learn and in the end they are cramped in a space with 25+ students and 1 teacher. They are only entitled to do 2 professional photoshoots and most of their time is spent on paperwork and face charts. Our faces are not made of paper – we are three dimensional.

Here in Lipstick, we make sure that our students get the most out of what they pay for. We teach them everything from makeup basics, trade secrets and even how to deal with clients. They get to work with real models and normal people so that they know how to create, enhance and transform each individual. Our goal is to be a world class makeup institute and to showcase our graduates’ skill level after they finish learning with us for 6 weeks. 
 
We’ve had graduates who are now business owners, well-known in and around the middle east and the ones who have gone back to their home country and still pursuing makeup artistry for themselves.

Trunk Show at 1422

Trunk Show at 1422 – A new season, a new collection. The Arab Fashion Council will be holding another trunk show together with The Lipstick Makeup Institute Team. It will be held in the Arab Fashion Council Head Quarters in City Walk.

Trunk Show at 1422 – Our team is doing makeup for the trunk show with the Arab Fashion Council. We are very excited about this. Our team will be backstage taking care of the models before the show. Making sure that they’re ready before they walk out clad in beautiful garments made by world class designers from the region. As the official backstage makeup team, we strive to showcase our talents and skills no matter how big or small the event is.  

We’ll be using the cosmetic products provided to us by Makeup Forever Middle East. They have been gracious enough to sponsor our Institute with their amazing products. 

Also, if you haven’t read our previous blog, we mentioned that we’re having a crash course on the Professional Platinum Media Makeup Diploma Course. We’re holding this course for three weeks intensively – like a boot camp. The students who will be joining this course will be receiving the benefits of the Platinum Media Makeup Diploma Course. They will be receiving the Platinum Diploma and will be completely certified, discounts from various professional brands like Makeup Forever, Grimas, Kryolan and others. As a student, you’ll also work with professional models for your portfolio of 5 photos. This will help jumpstart your career in the makeup industry.

PROFESSIONAL – In this Course you will learn the basics – advanced makeup application. Whether it be in the beauty field or the fashion industry you’ll be ready to go and be certified. Students who will join this course will have the benefits of the Professional Platinum Media Makeup Course.

You will receive the Platinum Diploma, 5 Professional Portfolio Photos with Models. You will also get discounts to various makeup brands such as Makeup Forever, Kryolan, Grimas, Inglot and others. Final Week of the Platinum Makeup Course

Final week of the Professional Platinum Media Makeup Diploma Course. We’re down to the last topic of the course which is Creative Makeup.

Final Creative makeup, we teach basics of using different mediums such as cream coloured makeup, water based makeup (face paint), body painting and how to stick materials to the skin without damaging it. Besides the Special FX Makeup, Creative makeup is another subject the students look forward to.

Special FX week with the Lipstick Students is always a week that our students look forward to in their Platinum Makeup Course. 

Our students get to explore the power of makeup in its full potential by transforming their models from normal  to something out of the ordinary. With special fx makeup, the sky is the limit! You can turn people into monsters, faeries, and different characters. The possibilities are endless and all you need is your imagination.

Apart from the course, our former students are out on a paid job for 4 days at a distinguished and high class location in Dubai doing Special Effects and Halloween Makeup for 30 staff members. 

 

Like we always say, we never leave our students. We always give them jobs after they have graduated from our Institute. This sets us apart from other Institutes in Dubai. We make sure that our students are in the loop with any projects that we have. Especially now that we’re part of the Arab Fashion Council, we have more special jobs for our graduates.

FASHION WEEK SS20 – DAY 1

First day of Arab Fashion Week – SS20 

Today marks another Milestone for The Lipstick Makeup Institute. As you all know by now, YH Studios and TLMI have just moved in to City Walk 2 at the Arab Fashion Council Headquarters. And we are so excited with the changes that have happened so far. Our first batch of Platinum Students have started their course 2 weeks back. Now, they’re working backstage as part of the whole team. 

This is the first time that The Lipstick Makeup Team is doing the Arab Fashion Week as the Arab Fashion Council’s official partner. We are pleased to be a part of this momentous event as AFW SS20 kicks off tonight. 

Together with Makeup Forever Middle East, we create the looks for all the models backstage from the 9th to the 13th of October 2019. Makeup Forever was gracious enough to send us a huge amount of products to use for the Arab Fashion Week.
