Creative UV Makeup Training Day for All The Lipstick Teams

"We love what we do and do what we love" Thats Our Motto and we stick to it! And the most we love is to create yet unseen looks and concepts in makeup and showcase it to all of you. Yesterday was a Creative makeup training day in our Institute for The Lipstick Team. We love our team and they deserve the best training. We were presenting 2 completely different looks:
  1. Avant-garde makeup
2. Fantasy makeup - body painting with UV Glow colours   About the Avant-garde style

The term avant-garde refers to innovative or experimental concepts or works, or the group of people producing them. Pushing boundaries with the  development of Cubism, Pablo Picasso was part of the early 20th-century art world’s avant-garde. He in fact Personifies this style!

So we were pushing our boundaries and combined loads of different makeup application techniques in our Creative Make Up day.

Of course as always we were using Kryolan products so much glitters, gellafix, crushed mirror, sequences, crystals, Supracolors in colours, Aquacolors and glitter powders and pure colour pigments.

Our concept was to create something different and special.

Inspired by high fashion and fantasy looks, to create an aqua, watery impression followed by glow and shine.

Our models final look is really impressive, different and extraordinary but still she looks beautiful and feminine.

Fantasy look with UV glow colours

Our another look was inspired by the fantastic Galaxy.

This is how we created the, "Galactical Princess" Look, Sparkly and bright.

Handmade skirt, painted top and collar were the main contents of this look.

It was a real fun look to work on Our Lipstick Teams were fascinated as they had never been involved in anything like this before. A complete transformation before their eyes.

I was applying the UV colours in the dark under the UV light with the whole team watching it.

Of course it was a bit challenging but that was the most interesting part in it.

For the whole look we were using Kryolan products.

Kryolan UV glow aqua colors, UV glow eyeshadows and Hair spray and a free hand to draw some funky lines and splash the colours all over the models body.

We really enjoyed creating the look and looking forward to the next project.

The 20 minutes Cocktail Makeup look

Cocktail-Party-Makeup-Hacks   You might ask "Cocktail Makeup"? What is that? Its a perfect makeup look for your business dinners, weddings that starts in the morning time and any other occasion you want to look a bit more made up than the daytime loo but less than an evening look. Lets see the steps:
  1. Clean snd refresh your face before applying the foundation. You can use simple wet wipes to clean your face and toner to refresh it.
  2. Apply your favourite foundation. The coverage for the cocktail makeup is from light to medium. Still not full. Keep it soft and don't cake it up let it glow.
  3. When it comes to contours and highlights if you are not a contouring freak keep it light. You don't need layers and layers on your face for a cocktail makeup.
  4. Set your foundation and the whole base with a thin layer of a loose powder. Don't use compacts as your 3rd step. Leave the skin open and don't powder it up with the compacts. They are the best for touch ups.
  5. Fill up your eyebrows with a 3 shade lighter eye shadow than your brow colour.
  6. Apply a base colour on your eyelid. The base colour is close to your skin colour.
  7. Take your blending brush and swipe a medium brown colour in your crease line.
  8. Take a black eyeshadow and dab a touch of it in your outer corners of the eyes.
  9. Take a peach eyeshadow and with your blending brush softly blend in some colour above that medium brown to soften the transition between these colours.
  10. Take your flat brush and apply a gold shine white eyeshadow under your eyebrows to highlight the eyes.
  11.  Take your angled brush wet it and with a black eyeshadow line your upper and bottom lash line.
  12. Take your smudge brush and with a dark brown eyeshadow smudge this black line to smoothen it.
  13. Apply 2 layers of mascara
  14. Apply peachy blusher on your cheekbones and soften it with light orange highlighter.
  15. Apply rosy-brown lipliner and fill up your lips with a same rose- brown lipstick add a touch of a clear gloss on the top of the lipstick and you are good to go!
The colour combination will change regarding your clothes of course. In case you don't know what you are wearing go with neutrals it will always work.   Try out this look and look fabulous.   Stay with us tomorrow as we will talk in details about the cocktail skin.

Eyeliner for daytime yes or no?

Wearing black eyeliner in the daytime "Here is a general rule: dark colours shrink and recede,"  "Light colours advance and bring forward." That's why she recommends skipping black eyeliner (especially underneath eyes) during the day, so your eyes look more open and awake.  ; "Yikes, I do this almost every day,"  "I do like how the liner defines my eyes. I think I look tired without some liner on. But I will admit that black can be a bit harsh for daytime, so maybe a switch to brown liner is in order. Same effect without the goth undertones." images img-thing Stay tuned tomorrow as we talked about the do's and don't in cocktail makeup.

Daytime lips and lipstick

The Lipstick. Woman's lips are one of the most sensual part of the face so we need to take a good care of them. Moisturise it and enhance it with our favourite lipstick. Lipstick are every woman’s first love and mostly one of the first cosmetic items she starts using in her life. A dash of colour on the pout adds to the charm of a woman and makes her look really beautiful. Usually the choice of any lip colour is largely based on the occasion when you wish to flaunt the lip colour. Usually very vibrant bold shades are kept to be worn at special events like wedding or engagements and some other intense shades for a date night. Well, the choice of lipstick also depends on the day and night time as one likes to keep the stunning dramatic shades for the night time look and wear soft lip color during the day time. In general, it holds quite true as a very bold and bright shade of lip colour may not go with your look during the day but the same lip colour will make you look drop dead gorgeous if worn during the night! This lipstick colour is in natural brown color which falls into the category of nude shades. Since this is not a very deep brown, the shade will look good on medium to fair skin tones as well Pink is a beautiful cool toned everyday wear pink shade. It is a little lighter than a proper fuchsia shade. It doesn’t dry the lips and doesn’t transfer much. It is surely a great pink for everyday wear! It is a brick red shade with brown hues. The shade is a wearable brown. It does not transfer much and stays for a good time. The lipstick is not highly pigmented and a second swipe is needed to get the colour. This one belongs to the nude shade category and is light brown hue with very slight undertones of mauve shade. It looks more of a creamy light nude brown shade. It looks very nice during the day time. Pink-Lips   tips-for-seductive-lips Stay tuned tomorrow as we talked about eyeliner for day time look.

Training time with the best Institute in Dubai

  I would like to share my first ever training that I attended in Dubai. My motivation to attend the training organised by The Lipstick Make up Institute and the YH Studios Dubai by Yasmin Hussain last June 2016. The training theme is of special relevance to my professional goals and career objectives, and therefore I really appreciate the opportunity given to me to attend this training together with my professional co makeup artist. I enjoyed  every part of it, especially the creative makeup done by Livia Rideg the Eurasia World Champion Make up artist and the master of makeup. And I'm very honour to work with the best.Her expertise in the makeup industry I find it a very motivational and inspiring to me. IMG_1407   IMG_1405   IMG_1408   IMG_1406 I always keep in mind;
  • If you want to be a makeup artist only for fame, then this career is not for you
  • Makeup artistry is an art and you’ll need lots of practice to improve your skills; you’ll never finish learning.
  • Practicing on models with different face types, eye shapes, and skin tones will improve your skills

The importance of the blusher

"Blusher? no thanks!" We often hear this from our clients or friends... The the question why not? And the reasons: -  I don't know how to put it on - Dont know which colour to take -Dont want to look like a clown so I'm not using it and much more !!! Now ladies the blusher is important as any other makeup product or step of application Don't leave it out because your makeup will look incomplete Here are some practical tips for you about the blushers. Where to apply it and how? Right on the cheekbones! Don't go on the top of the cheekbones with blusher! Under your cheekbones will be your contour so again no...keep it exactly on the cheekbones. The right blush can add a pop of color to your cheeks, instantly making you look younger, healthier and prettier. However, many women are unsure about the right type of blush to use and how exactly they should apply it. Choose a suitable color for your skin tone. When choosing a blush colour, it's important to pick one that matches your natural skin tone.
  • This means that the color you pick should be as close as possible to the color your cheeks turn when you're naturally flushed. Picking a color that doesn't match your skin tone can cause your blush to look unnatural and even garish.
  • A good tip for identifying your natural coloring is to make a tight fist with your hand for about ten seconds. The color that develops across your knuckles is the ideal color for your blush!
  • In general, pale skin tones will work best with light pink which mimics their natural flush. For a more dramatic look, peaches and mochas can work well.
  • Sallower skin tones will do best with orange or reddish-pink blushes which brighten the skin, adding a healthy glow.
  • Dark skin tones can get away with vivid oranges, pinks and reds which add a pop of life and color.
Decide on a type of blush. There are many different blush formulas on the market, including powder, cream, gel and liquid. The best option for you will depend on your skin type and personal preference.
  • Powder blush is good for oily to normal skin. It is also good for warmer temperatures, as it will not slide off the face.
  • Cream blush is good for drier skin as it is more hydrating. It also good for older skin, as it will not catch in fine lines and wrinkles like a powder.
  • Liquids and gels are great if you want to achieve a very exact and long-lasting application. Often these products can double up as a matching lip stain!
Purchase some applicator brushes/sponges. You don't have to use a brush/sponge if you want you can use your fingers(but a brush would make it neater).Applying your blush will depend on the type of blush you're using:
  • Powder blushes are best applied with an angled blush brush or with a wide-headed loose powder brush.
  • Cream blushes are best applied with your fingers or with a medium-sized flat-topped brush.
  • Liquids and gels are best applied with your fingers or with a synthetic make-up wedge.
